Glyfada is a suburb of Athens, situated in the southern parts of the Athens Metropolitan Area. The area, which is home to many of Greece's millionaires, ministers and celebrities, stretches out from the foot of the Hymettus mountain and reaches out to embrace the Saronic Gulf. It is the largest of Athens' southern suburbs. This fashion-conscious suburb is known in Greece for its upmarket cafes, well-known restaurants, boutiques and cosmopolitan summer clubs; Glyfada has also been called "Knightsbridge-on-Sea", "Hellenic Hamptons", or the "Beverly Hills of Greece"
Glyfada was established as the heart of Athens' southern suburbs, because of its prime waterfront location, rich commercial center, and modern business district. It has been described as the headpoint of the 'Athens Riviera' and features some of Europe's most opulent seafront residences, gardens and extensive beachfront property, with a modern marina.

The original apartment we were meant to stay in was having some work done, so we stayed in his other apartment. The apartment was great, exactly how the description was online. The apartment has everything you need. Was opposite a small shop to buy food and drink. Was walkable to everywhere we want to go. Great bars at the end of the road.
About 10 minutes in the taxi 13Euros to Athens central.
Will definitely use again.
Excellent apartment! Quiet location, but close to plenty of dining options. Very clean, well furnished and equipped. The Nespresso machine was a bonus which I particularly enjoyed.
The owner was most accommodating, both at check-in and check-out.
3 days before arriving, George contacted us to tell us that there was a problem with the availability of the flat. He offered us another flat in the same area - although I was initially hesitant, the new flat turned out great.
The flat was clean and in great condition. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend to friends and stay there again.
I rented this apartment twice and would rent it every time if it was available. The location in Glyfada is excellent, quiet and convenient. George is a great host and responsive to any issues.; there wasn't any except the wifi once but he and Andreas corrected it quickly. No worries and I would rent from George any time. Thanks George and I hope to see you again soon!
We go to Glyfada (Athens) often, and this time decided to try airbnb instead of a hotel. Our first time experience was so disappointing that we will likely not do this again. Here’s what happened: on the morning we were departing for Athens George sent us an email that there were ‘big problems’ with the flat we had booked; the previous renters had destroyed the plumbing in the bathroom, he had ordered a plumber to fix it, but could not say if it would be ready that day and he provided links to 3 other properties (none of those were an option for us; we had already looked at them previously). He then followed up also saying there was a problem with the kitchen sink. We replied, let us meet at the apartment as agreed and then we could judge the damages and if we could stay there or not (there were 2 bathrooms, so we thought we could still use the other one). We arrive in Athens airport and go to the address of the flat at the agreed time. George arrives (half an hour late) but without the key to the flat. He then makes a call to a friend who supposedly has the key, however, this friend is in bed as he has 4 kidney stones and cannot give George the key. George now also explains the plumbing problem to have been caused by kids who moved the washing machine and ripped the water supply from the wall (strong kids! and how this affects the bath, second bathroom and kitchen sink I’m not sure). Anyway, we told George that we were not interested in his other properties as the location and style was not like the one we had booked, but we would like to see the flat so we could consider it for our next trip to Glyfada. George promised to contact us during the 3 days we were in Glyfada to show us the flat - he never did! To be fair to George, he did pay us back in cash what we had paid to airbnb before we separated that evening outside the flat. He also said that this plumbing issue was a big problem as the flat was rented out the next 2-3 months (we've looked at the calendar for the flat today and it is all green, except for a few weekends in July). We have our own guesses of what the real truth behind all this is, however, suggest you to judge for yourself what you think the story is with this flat ….
I've been in Athens 3 times with airbnb and by far i can tell you that this apartment is the best i've seen.
good price for an outstanding apartment.
We were very pleased with everything.
And the owner brought us coffee (free of charge) and he was very kind and helpful.
