Conveniently located in Wan Chai (Hong Kong Island), this fully-furnished Studio Apartment is close to MTR, trams & buses and short walk to harbour ferries...
Finally, that "work in Asia" assignment you've been positioning yourself for all this time has now come through. Congratulations!
With so much on your mind around work permits and relocation logistics, somewhere to stay is now one less thing to worry about.
Finding the right accommodation, in the right place and at the right price is so much easier once you're here.
So use this conveniently located, furnished apartment on Hong Kong Island, as your base for your first month.
Your own place for two... furnished with double bed, basic kitchen, small pokey little bathroom (hey, it's HK!). Also large TV, perhaps for a great rest after work.
Great location, straddled between the major bus routes and the novelty, iconic double-decker tram lines. It's also a 3-min walk to MTR (mass-transit light-rail subway) and local "wet markets" (a must visit for tourists who want the look, feel and smell of local culture).
Time for Work...?
Central Banking Office District is easily accessible by either a 10min Taxi or MTR ride.
Approximately a 10-min walk to Hong Kong Convention Centre (not the Asia Expo - that's near the airport, only 25-mins by Airport Express Train).
Time for Play...?
Peak Tram (scenic), So-Ho (great dining), Lan Kwai Fong (night-life), Time Square & Sogo (shopping) are easily accessible by either a 10min Taxi or MTR ride.
As is the Airport Express, and its super convenient 'In Town Check-In' is only two MTR stops away (Central) or a 10-15 minute Taxi ride.
Macau or Zhuhai (China^) on your travel itinerary? The Turbo Jet (Macau) and other Ferry Services are about 15-20 minutes away by Taxi.
On the other side of the Hong Kong Harbour, TST (shopping, nite-life, museum, harbour light show @ 8pm), Mongkok (ladies market) and Hong Hum Station (if you want to take the MTR to Shenzhen, China^ or the 90-min Inter-City Through-Train to Guangzhou, China^)
^ - don't forget your visa for any travel to China...
Taxis are aplenty and cheap HKD$22 for first flag fall (they may charge you extra for each piece of luggage though)... providing its not peak hour or shift change over, you wont have to wait long to flag one from outside of your apartment...
Matt and Jean's place is clean, cosy and stocked with everything you'll need. The flat is tiny but well set up, quiet and secure. Location is great; close to the MTR in Wan Chai, 5-10 mins to anywhere on HK island. Matt was a super host, very friendly and answered me right away whenever I had a question. Great price, great location, can't do much better.
This is the final rate, including any fees from the host and Airbnb.
