A unique getaway in the town of Shelburne Falls, full of charm and atmosphere, welcomes you (and possibly your dog, too) for a stay right on the Mohawk Trail in Western Massachusetts. Being one mile to the town center, you can enjoy the beauty of the woods and the convenience of being near our charming village of Shelburne Falls. We are located within minutes of six colleges and many attractions in the Pioneer Valley, as well as North Adams and Williamstown. Visit our local coop McCuskers Market, several local restaurants (French Bistro, pub or wood-fired pizza!) and the numerous galleries and artists studios for which Shelburne Falls is known. And while you are here, a stroll across the Bridge of Flowers will explain why hundreds of people flock here to look at the natural beauty of the Deerfield River and its glacial formations the "Potholes." Whether gathering by the wood stove in cooler months or washing off in the outdoor shower, after a hike or swim in summery weather, this cottage will suit all your needs to enjoy the breathtaking scenery around this cultural center in Western Massachusetts.
New Leaf Cottage has two ample rooms available, this one with a double bed and the other a queen. Comfortable warm bedding and towels are provided. The bath is shared and offers both a claw foot tub or a shower. I will maintain the wood stove and assure its safety at all times.
Perched on a hill facing Catamount Mountain, this cottage is artfully decorated in cheerful colors and sits high enough to enjoy views of foliage. A large open-plan living space on the main floor features a large round sun room with seven tall windows below a cathedral ceiling. Wi-Fi is also available, if you want to watch a movie on your laptop or use the internet.
Convenient to Route 2, you may take advantage of many activities while you are here. For outdoor enthusiasts, rock climbing, white-water rafting, kayaking, canoeing, cross-country skiing are all within close reach. Berkshire East offers downhill skiing ten miles away. Hiking trails close by are magnificent, as is a simple walk up the road from the front door. For art lovers, take in the world class museums at Williams College or Mass MOCA in Williamstown, or venture to the galleries and museums at Smith College, Old Deerfield, UMAss or Amherst College. Or if staying closer to home is preferable, visit the glass-blowing studio in Shelburne Falls and have a drink at the pub overlooking the river or an elegant French meal at a bistro. The tranquil beauty of Shelburne Falls can be thoroughly enjoyed in every season.
A Continental breakfast is included with coffee, tea and fresh baked goods.

Lisa was a great and gracious host. Her house is lovely and comfortable and we enjoyed two quiet nights. Our stay included a tasty breakfast both days and plenty of coffee! Lisa also had good advice about local eateries and even called to make a dinner reservation for us. The area is very beautiful and this is a perfect place to stay if you want to explore the region.
The reservation was canceled 52 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.

An avid music and art lover, I also relish living in the beautiful natural surroundings of Western Massachusetts. My house reflects these interests, and hopefully will feel comfortable for you during your stay. I am a graphic designer and spend a good deal of time doing mediation, as well.
