The space

You'll love the historic charm of this 2-story Foursquare Bungalow home!

Built in 1925, "Dew Drop Inn" has architectural details found only in early Florida homes. Beautiful hardwood floors and custom decorating accent the living room with brick fireplace.

This home has been completely renovated with new kitchen and bathrooms.

The large kitchen has granite countertops and French doors lead to a large deck and the back yard.

There is one full bathroom with shower and custom tile downstairs, and three bedrooms and full bath are upstairs.

The master bedroom has a queen size Select Comfort bed with sitting area and vanity. The middle bedroom also has a queen size bed, and the front bedroom has two twin beds.

There is a front porch with seating area, and large deck in the back.

This is a family-friendly neighborhood with "coastal urban" appeal. The location is very convenient to beaches, downtown, restaurants, shopping, and area attractions.

Public bus service and beach trolley are within walking distance.

Your hosts, Bruce and Melody, live on the same street and make sure that everything runs smoothly. They've been here 10 years, and this is one of five renovation projects they've successfully completed in the neighborhood.

We had a wonderful time at the Dew Drop Inn. The house is very clean, spacious and has a great location, a short drive to Clearwater Beach. The neighboorhood is safe too. It has all the ammenities necessary. We stayed there for two months, period in which Bruce was always available when needed. We would definitely come back again and recommend the house.

House is absolutely georgeous, very clean. The house looks better than the pictures online. The front and back yard is so pretty. The owners are very nice.. I was told if we need anything to let them know, so we ask if he could check one of the doors for us and he did it that day while we were out. Highly recommend this house!! It's great!!

We had a really good experience at Bruce's house. The property is really nice with kitchen and bathrooms renovated and working perfectly. Hosts live besides the house with means everything runs smoothly but, at the same time, doesn't give you all the privacy you wish. Even though, everything was perfect and we had a great stay. I recommend this place to have a pleasant vacation.

Response from Bruce:
Sorry I had to come out at 11:30 p.m. to politely ask your gathering on the back deck to lower the volume or move inside. Our rules ask that you respect our neighbors, and outside quiet time after 10 p.m. is expected.

Bruce was an outstanding host with a beautiful home. We were on a 2 family vacation to take our kids to the beach. The day before we were suppose to depart for our trip, our original air bnb host cancelled on us ( But Bruce was able to provide us with his home on less than a 48 hour notice, which was greatly appreciated. The pictures listed for the home actually doesn't do much justice. Bruce's home was very clean, comfortable, and about 10 min ride from the beach. Bruce was also very attentive to anything we needed, and always close by/phone call away. Our families had a great time. Thanks again Bruce!

Bruce's house was wonderful! It is a nice historic, craftsman style home which I have a special affinity for. We had some rainy weather that kept us from going out and it was so nice to have an entire home to ourselves to while away the day. My in-laws who were with us kept commenting how much better it was to get the whole house than just a hotel room like they usually do. Very good value too! We would definitely stay here again.

we spent nice, comfortable weekend at Bruce's home. It was located quiet st. & safe area. Beaches were not too far from home. The house was spacious, clean & felt like my own house. We enjoyed cooking, eating at patio even though temperature was not so high. One thing, we miss we couldn't enjoy fireplace. This home is very good for family , friend reunion . If one thing make it better place to stay is sharper cutting knife and check internet connection. Overall we had a great time with friends.

Response from Bruce:
Glad you enjoyed your stay, Sun. The fireplace chimney needs work and since there's a 4-week period out of year when it could be used here in central Florida, we've opted to keep the fireplace just for decoration. The knives have been sharpened, and the house manual updated to show the correct password to log onto the internet.

The first impressions of our hosts (Bruce and Melody) were excellent as all communications were answered almost immediately. When our flight times were rearranged, Bruce made sure we could access the house no matter what time we turned up at. Did I say house? All the members of our group agreed this was more of a home than just a house. It had a wonderfully friendly atmosphere as we explored the different rooms on our arrival and throughout our stay there were many little touches by Melody that surprised us and gave the house a warm, lived-in feeling. The house felt very spacious, with 4 adults occupying it with plenty of room to spread out. 3 bedrooms, a living room, dining room, kitchen with a fab fridge and it was great to have a laundry area with washer and tumble dryer. Along with the laundry area, the cupboard full of beach towels made it so easy to organise days out without worrying about the next day. Having a front porch and rear veranda was excellent as we could escape the direct sun when we needed to cool off. Our rooms had the choice of air conditioning or fan which meant everyone could choose their own way of cooling down. The beds were very comfortable, especially the “number” bed (choose your own level of firmness on each side!!). The wifi gave an excellent signal throughout the house which is so useful to have to keep in touch with home and also for planning trips out and about. Bruce came by on our first morning to make sure everything was okay. We were pleased to see him then and also when he dropped in on several occasions during our stay to chat and sometimes pass on recommendations for trip destinations and food places. The location of the house was perfect, in a quiet neighbourhood, just minutes by car from Clearwater Beach and Pier 60. There is a supermarket just around the corner and plenty of restaurants and other eateries within a short drive. Dunedin is a few miles north and well worth a visit, as is Caladesi Island. South takes you to St.Petersburg where we had an excellent time at the highly acclaimed Dali Museum. All in all, I would highly recommend the location, the house and especially the hosts.

Melody and I have been here in Clearwater since 2003. We own a software company specializing in digital dictation and transcription solutions. Our "hobby" has been renovating old homes here in the Magnolia Park neighborhood of Clearwater. We have 6 vacation rental properties that we manage ourselves.

One of our daughters and her family live 2 doors down from us, with 3 grandchildren that keep us hopping. We love the location - close to downtown Clearwater, yet just a short ride to the beautiful beaches of Clearwater, Indian Rocks and Dunedin (Caladesi Island and Honeymoon Island).

We love to bicycle, boat, swim, and enjoy fun times with our family and friends! We hope you can make it to our special part of the Gulf Coast that we call home...
