Unspoiled and protected, our beautiful and natural parks are refuges for birds, mammals and humans alike. The Gulf of Mexico and our rivers offer watchable wildlife. Approximately 2,600 manatees inhabit our springs, bays and canals, feeding on aquatic plants. Everyone's favorite, the Atlantic bottlenose dolphin, can be seen cavorting with beauty and grace. Alligators can be found in some freshwater areas of the county. And over 300 species of fish swim in our waters.

We loved our stay at the Dew Drop Inn! Bruce was great and responsive throughout our entire stay. He even was nice enough to let us know how to park our extra cars around the house sine we had a few people drive in to town. The house has great amenities and we had plenty of room for 8 adults. The beach is very close and we had no problems with traffic or other issues. Thanks so much for a great vacation!
The Dew Drop Inn is a nice house on a quiet street. The drive to the beach is five minutes. Bruce was very easy to work with. He was kind and welcoming and responded to text messages within minutes. The house was well furnished and had plenty of room for 5 adults. While in Clearwater, we went to the beach, to the Florida Botanical Gardens, kayaking with dolphins at Honeymoon Island State Park, on a sunset cruise, etc. It was a great time, and the Dew Drop Inn was a quiet, personal home base during our trip. Thanks to Bruce for his hospitality and his great house.
Beautiful house in a nice neighborhood - exactly as it appears on the listing. Owner was gracious and reached out with the necessary details. Would definitely stay again in the future, as it is just a short drive from the beach and has plenty of space. We loved the comfortable beds and the gorgeous deck and garden!
We found the house to be great for our 5 night family stay. It was well equipped with plenty of space for our family of 4 and had the all important wi-fi facility! It was close to Clearwater beach and harbour (car or trolley ride) The host was kind enough to lend us a parasol for a couple of days on the beach and there were beach towels available. Plenty of fresh bath towels and bedding etc.
We enjoyed our stay, house was very conveniently located. Short drive to beach. We traveled two adults and four kids and the house was plenty big enough. House was well kept and had all the essential which made our stay nice and relaxing. Owner was great and very friendly!
We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Dew Drop Inn. Everything was as advertised. My only comment was that when we arrived at night there were no lights on and Bruce was not at home, but he arrived shortly.
We enjoyed our stay at the Dew Drop inn. The house was charming! very organized and clean.
Our party stayed at the Dew Drop Inn from March 7-14, 2014 and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The house is in very good condition in a quiet, safe, neighborhood and is outfitted with everything you would want for a vacation rental in this area. We were close to a grocery store, the beach, and other attractions. It was very helpful to have the owner living next door to answer questions we had about the area as it was our first visit. We would happily stay in this rental again. Note that the driveway accommodates 2 cars without blocking the sidewalk, but on-street parking was available and worked fine for us (we had 3 cars). We especially liked having three dining areas with tables and chairs (including the back deck).
This house is an excellent location in an area with tons to do. Only wish we could have stayed longer! We caught a spring training game at Brighthouse field (very close), found excellent groceries and prepared food to feed vegans at Natures Patch (super close), and had our pick of places to watch the sunset (we went to Honeymoon Island since we were in that neighborhood one evening.... AWESOME!).
I dont think you could ask for anything more in a vacation rental. Good beds? yes. Clean place? yes, very much so. Walkable area? yes. Well stocked kitchen? yes. Room to spread out? yes. And if the weather is right, are there outside seating areas? yes...and for us, a bonus- we were able to keep the windows opened -which we really appreciated, and LOVED having the ceiling fans.
We also appreciated the ease of booking w airbnb, and simple checkin and checkout w Bruce. And for us, the Internet worked perfectly (we had two devices in use a good bit of the time in the evenings).
We would love to have had time to check out the Pinellas Trail- it felt like a tease having it so close but not being able to bike it.
Melody and Bruce have done a really beautiful job with restoring and decorating this home, and are friendly and easy to work with. If their binder of ideas doesn't answer all your questions, they are easily accessible.
We hope we can stay again in the future at the Dew Drop Inn- and we happily recommend it to anyone looking for a home away from home in Clearwater.
This is a very nice house and it lived up to the information provided in the listing. The neighbourhood was very quite and pleasant. The house is well positioned for access to Clearwater beaches and Tampa but a car is essential. We were a family of 4 adults and one three-year old. We enjoyed our stay very much over Christmas and the new year, despite the disappointing weather. While we were out most of the time we did more time at the house than we had planned and it was like a home from home, ideal for a relaxed family holiday, which we were seeking.
The only dissappointment was the poor internet during the evenings. The internet is accessed through an extender from next door. It usually worked well during the mornings and afternoons but was often unavailable from about 7pm.
We would happily recommend this nice period house for a family holiday for anyone wishing to go to Clearwater.
