Join us in our recently refurbished country cottage. The whole house has been featured in 25 Beautiful Homes, House Beautiful and Dorset magazines.
We're also delighted that our previous guests feedback has meant that we are now, officially, Airbnb 'Superhosts'!
The cottage is in the small village of Uploders, a few minutes drive from Bridport and 10 minutes from the Jurassic Coast at Burton Bradstock.
The room is away from the main living area of the house so you'll feel very private. It's a large room with an en-suite bathroom, sitting area, TV, dressing table etc - you'll certainly be able to swing a cat!!
The local pub is but a 5 minute walk and does great food as well as standard pub drinks! Bridport is a great place for the Arts, live music, markets and antiques (in the Vintage Quarter). And of course, there's the whole of the Jurassic Coast to explore.
Although the pub is only a short walk away, there are no shops within walking distance. You'll need the car!
Breakfast is included in the price, comprising coffee/tea/ juice; cereals; home-made bread/toast and preserves; cold meats, cheese, locally sourced yoghurt etc. If you want a 'full AGA English', this can usually be arranged for an additional cost of £5.00 per guest; but do let us know if you want this option, prior to your arrival!
This is our private home and we'd love you to share it for a few days. If you know where you want to go, we'll leave you be, but if you want some help to 'get under the skin' of this great part of the world, we'll happily oblige!
Your suite is totally self contained on the ground floor of the house. We'll sort your breakfast in the large dining area off the kitchen - so that's just about it for the house!
We have a large terraced garden which we're happy for you to wander around. At the end of the sunny day there's a table for two by the Koi pond - we're more than happy for you sit there enjoying the rays.
If you're really lucky, and you enjoy al fresco dining, we'll happily lay up breakfast for you on the patio right behind the kitchen.
Interaction with Guests
We'll certainly be around to say hi on arrival. Let us know what we can do to enrich your stay and we'll do our best to help - after that, it's pretty much up to you - it's your holiday.
Peace and tranquility with great access to the coast and the buzzy town of Bridort, sometimes interrupted by the odd passing tractor!!
Yes there is public transport, but too infrequent to spend all day waiting

From the minute we arrived our hosts Heather and Lawrence did everything they could do to make our stay happy and comfortable. We arrived after 9 and were concerned we would be too late to eat in the local pub. Lawrence rang ahead, and reserved us a table. The food at the Crown was lovely. The next evening we enjoyed a lovely drink with our hosts, which was a lovely thing to do and got to know each other. Our breakfasts were fantastic with so much attention to detail ( thank you Heather). Our room was amazing spotlessly clean, large and very comfortable with beautiful views from all windows. I would highly recommend this for anyone looking to go for a stay in Dorset. Great place to explore and fabulous walks. Just leave room for us to book our next stay! Thank you again Lawrence and Heather. Phil and Arlette
We had a great stay for 2 nights in April. We were made to feel very welcome as soon as we got through the door, their hospitality and attention to detail make Lawrence and Heather very good hosts.
The room was very comfortable and peaceful in a lovely location. We were given good advice on places to see and eat and the breakfasts were superb setting us up for the day.
Lawrence and Heather were great hosts! The room was exactly what we were after and well represented in the photos - Modern and clean. Breakfast was fantastic - just what's needed before walking around the Jurassic coast.
Lawrence was very helpful in suggesting things to see during the day and places to eat at night.
A great stay and will be recommending.
My wife and I stayed for a couple of nights and had a wonderful stay. Beautiful room in a quiet and pretty village.
Lawrence & Heather were extremely welcoming hosts and laid on a high class breakfast. Lovely couple. Great stay.
The local pub - The Crown Inn - is a short walk and serve great food.
Thank you so much for being such amazing hosts & for a wonderful stay.
What a`Treat` the Funky rural is...Lawrence & Heather couldn't do enough for us. Including getting us the morning papers & a lift in to town! We really needed to relax & just that we did. Their house & grounds are Beautiful & the Private suite that we stayed in, felt so calming as soon as we walked in. Loved the Decor & the feeling in the House. They recommended 3 places for us to go to eat for Lunch & we loved all 3 of them. We were in the area for a wedding & thought that we would stay with them instead of a hotel nearby. What a Great choice. We can't thank you enough for the tip to the Beach & Fish restaurant at Burton Bradstock. We very much hope we will be able to come & visit again in the future, perhaps when our friend's have a possible Wedding Anniversary party at the Bull. The Breakfast served daily was varied, abundent, fresh & delicious...
Thank you for giving us the breathing space that was much needed,
Lovely to meet you both, Dee & Tess (Brighton)
This room was a fantastic find on Airbnb. We were welcomed by Lawrence who settled us in and made us feel very welcome. The room was fantastic and huge and the bathroom was clean. We stayed for two nights and had a fabulous breakfast both mornings with more choice and food than we could possibly eat. Lawrence had made his own bread for us to eat and there was also a choice of homemade jams as well. The room had tea and coffee and water. I recommend this room to anybody and we definately will stay there again. The house is in a very rural village with a pub close by, walking distance, that did good dinners. Take a torch if it's dark although Lawrence did offer us a torch to walk home with.
We were made to feel most welcome. Nothing was too much trouble and good advice re where to eat and what to do.
The accommodation was spacious, comfortable and first rate.
Breakfast and coffee excellent.
A high recommend would use again!
