Response from Margarita:
Dear Allyson, The cap on electricity is indeed described on the website: "In the renting price is included an electricity amount of 15US$/day (for 8 people, half if 4 people). Over that amount, we will ask you to pay the difference. We do that because electricity is scarce in Nicaragua and extremely expensive, and this is the only way to get people aware and reasonable". We ask a deposit as an easy way to settle any broken part in the house by the renter or excess of electricity. It is returned whenever the renter leaves the house.
I was born in Nicaragua and lived in Granada until 20 years old. I have been living in the USA, Argentina, Brazil and I live with my family in France since 2003.
