Reached out and was able to confirm details one day prior to arrival. Anne made it quick and easy to accept the rental agreement and I appreciated the detailed instructions along with the suggestions provided.
Though it was relatively difficult to spot the side street, arriving wasn't too tedious overall, and the initial impression of the place was cozy and inviting. The general location is great, and is well positioned between Santa Rosa and other outdoor excavations (Armstrong, etc).
During the stay, my girlfriend and I were generally comfortable. All of the amenities are as listed, and generally suit the city dweller quite well. A few things were unfavorable: the slats on the bed frame shifted during sleep, and one side would slump off of the support beam and down to the floor, leaving one of us more inclined than the other. The wood stove needed a solid cleaning, as ash laden air filled the room when building a fire. The grill on the porch is broken on one side, and gas leaks out of the gas valve, leaving strong, potentially dangerous fumes in the air. Other than these things, the place definitely did the job.
I would rate the overall experience as more than tolerable, and definitely left the place more relaxed than I was coming in. Reflecting on the price, I find that it is on the high side, especially when the closing checklist recommends a fair amount of cleaning.
We had a ladies wine tasting and relaxation getaway weekend, and the cabin was perfect for our needs. If you don't mind snuggling with friends, it fits four people just fine :) The street is very quiet and private and it's also very close to town, so Safeway and Guerneville restaurants are very convenient. Hot tub is shared with the other cabin on the property, but we had it all to ourselves the whole time. Water was hot and there was plenty of room for all of us. A very enjoyable stay.
Great, cozy spot on the river. Perfect for grilling out, having a fire, and enjoying nights in the mountains. Very convenient to the Russian River Valley vineyards as well. I would stay here again.
Great location, 2 minute drive, 10 minute walk from the downtown guerneville and right on the river!
The place was clean, nice patio, hot tub on the lower deck. We picked came in late Friday and Anne kept in touch with us when we reached out to her. The place is a little tricky to find so make sure to look up it up beforehand.
Lots of inflatables and a canoe but most of the inner tubes had small leaks in the them rendering them useless. There's a canoe which was nice but the steps and dock were very muddy and not kept well so we abandoned that plan. There was one pillow case which should have been thrown out due to brown stain. The mattress one on side was indented and so one of us slept lower than the other. Cigarette butts in the wood burner, found an empty beer bottle in the closet.
Other than those trivial details, the place was wonderful for the weekend. This was a house on the river, not a W Hotel in a big city.
I definitely recommend this place.
It rained all weekend, but we still had a lovely time. The cabin is comfy, warm and it was lovely looking out to the river as it rushed past. The hot tub was great, too!
My girl friends and I spent an amazing, relaxing weekend in guernville. We had a great and quiet trip. The hot tub was amazing.
Riverlily was a great place to relax. The cabin is located right by the river in a complex with other cabins but we never saw or were bothered by any neighbors in close proximity. The interior was nicely appointed and had what we needed for sleeping, cooking, and eating. We enjoyed sitting by the fire in the woodstove and watching movies or tv shows from Netflix in the evenings. We also made good use of the lovely hot tub. All in all, an enjoyable stay!
