We had a fantastic stay at the Acocote Eco Inn! Rob was an exceptional host and makes some great drinks. Snorkeling around the coral heads right off the beach and scuba diving with a local dive shop were highlights of the trip. The next time we visit Xcalak we'll definitely stay …

Breaking rule #1, Xcalak in general and Acocote Eco Inn in particular, are fight club, you don't talk about fight club. Rob's place is all you need: clean, comfortable, simple and extremely chill. It's not the Ritz, but that's not why you go there. You go there to unwind, lay on …

Highly recommended! Rob is the owner/host and he is awesome. Outgoing, friendly, available and knowledgeable of the area. Oh yeah, he makes a super tasty, potent Robarita. Our stay was primarily for fly fishing and the area is perfect. In one day the three of us caught over 50 Bo…

Rob was a great host and has a nice place right on the beach in xcalak. Probably one of the most tranquil beaches I've ever been too. It's so far away from all the nonsense of the world, great snorkeling, diving, and fishing. Rob can set you up with any of it; Helped us find a bo…

Beautiful place! The kitchen and furnitures a bit basic. Nevertheless absolutely worth to be visited. Very friendly host, easy to communicate with and quick in responding. Gave us several very good recommendations in order to visit Mayan ruines in the area.

Spent most of my career as a marketing executive. After 25 years working for others, we decided to try something completely different and run an inn on the beach. We found Xcalak, after I had been coming down here for salt water fly fishing. We found the scuba diving, and fly fi…
