Enjoy the charm of a heritage building while staying at the best location in downtown Vancouver. This apartment is located at the Electra Building, the old BC Hydro company building from 1957. Renovated and adapted to residential in 1995 it retains the modernistic charm of the '50s. It was Vancouver’s first skyscraper, then the first commercial building to be designated heritage.

Restaurants and shops are steps away.

No drinking alcohol in the common areas of the building.
Respect the laundry room hours (8am to 11pm).
No noise in the lobby, elevators, or hallways.
And these are my own little rules:
No unregistered guests.

Please remove your shoes when entering the unit (as Canadians do).
Please, avoid removing make-up on the towels. There are Kleenex, cotton pads and cotton swabs provided for that purpose.
Although I don't charge a safety deposit, I trust you to reimburse me in case of any incident (stains, broken glasses, lost keys, etc).
Lili made us feel right at home. The space was beautiful and well taken care of. Lili was quick to reply to messages and very helpful. I told totally recommend staying here.
We loved Lili's place and Vancouver! The place was bright, pretty and comfortable. It had great views from every room, a great central location, and communication was very easy. The kitchen was well appointed too - we had a very lovely dinner in with friends one night. No complaints whatsoever! Totally recommended!
Lili's place is great! It's close to where we had a condo when we lived in Vancouver, so we knew how amazing the location was already. A short walk to Yaletown, the Art Gallery, several Caffe Artigiano locations, the Vancouver Seawall and Stanley Park. Truly an amazing spot.
The building was fascinating too. We'd seen it from the outside many times, but had never been inside. The tile work and decor are fascinating.
Lili's unit was exactly as portrayed on AirBnB, and the view was wonderful. North shore mountains, the Vancouver Skyline and lots of people watching from up high. A lovely unit and well decorated and stocked.
Lili was excellent as well. It was fun trying to dredge up my Brazilian Portuguese and chatting about Brazil again. She was helpful, responsive and organized. Very professional and warm.
If you want to see downtown Vancouver you will be hard pressed to find a better location. From Granville Island in the south to Coal Harbour in the north and Chinatown in the east to Stanley Park in the west, nothing is more than 10/15 minutes walk from the apartment. There are supermarkets, bars, cafes and restaurants within a block and Robson Street or Homer Street with more restaurants and shops are a five minute stroll away.
Lili is a very attentive host and a mine of information both before and during our stay. Listen to her recommendations of what to do and see - they're spot on.
Lili is such an amazing and accommodating host. The apartment is beautiful, clean, and centrally located- everything was exactly as described. She made sure to explain everything we needed to know about the apartment, apartment building, and surrounding area before she left. She answered all our questions thoroughly and gave us plenty of recommended restaurants and activities to keep us busy during our stay. All in all, we will definitely be returning for another lovely stay as soon as we can!!
Lili was such an amazing host and took the time to meet with us upon our arrival and provide us with invaluable information for exploring this amazing city! This was our first time in Vancouver and Lili's beautiful apartment definitely felt like home.
I cannot say enough nice things about Lili and the attention and care that she gave us leading up to and right throughout our stay!
Thank you SO much for making this a trip that we will cherish forever :-)

I'm an Airbnb veteran, hosting since July 2010 and loving every minute of it. I do a lot of volunteering, namely as the vice-president of Vancouver Latin American Cultural Centre, Director of Programming for Projecting Change Film Festival, and sit on the board of the Brazilian Consulate's Citizen Council.
I immigrated from Brazil to Vancouver 7 years ago and Ken, my partner, is the chief film critic of the Georgia Straight, Vancouver's weekly entertainment newspaper. Ken's son lives with us and works at a local movie theatre. As you can imagine, we watch more movies in one year than most people in their whole lives! I love cooking and baking with the great local products we find here.
I totally fell in love with Vancouver as soon as I got here, and I'm sure you will, too. (Or maybe you are returning for a visit and know exactly what I'm talking about!)
You will find a clean and comfortable apartment at the perfect location to explore the city, and I will do my best to make your stay enjoyable and stress-free.
Feel free to contact me with any questions.
Hope to see you soon!
