We had a very pleasant stay at Sunnylea and Shirley and Hap were friendly and helpful hosts.
Thanks for your review Julie. The new router is in Cabin #2. My computer guy was here yesterday to fix it but it was working at full strength on his and my device. He said that different devices act different but there was nothing to be fixed. I will continue to test it for the next couple days.
The cottage was beautifully located, right on the lake. Shirley was very welcoming. Communication was great ans easy. The property has great lakefront access, a fire pit, and a grill with propane included. Kayaks, canoes, and pedal boats are provided, among other equipment — no need to rent! Nice playground and beach-volleyball court.
And an awesome pool!
Our young family had a really great time. The cabin suited our needs and the amenities were great. The playground was a little sketchy so it needs some safety upgrades.
As you can see from all other reviews that we are very helpful and friendly hosts and are always tentative to our guests and everyone has a great time. I am very frustrated with her responses, Liu is very demanding and I heard from our other guests that were having a lovely weekend that she was complaining to them and interrupting their time to which they were not impressed with her. If she is referring to a swing that got broke at the playground another guest informed us and it was repaired immediately. They did ask for a new tank and when we are not at the office and can't be 24 hours a day, we leave a note as to where we are and we stated we were at the dock - a mere 150 feet away and when her husband let us know my husband went straight there and put on a new tank. He did mention that he had found another bbq to use so not to rush but we did as we do cater to our quests 24/7. I don't think she realizes that this is a family owned self-catering resort and maybe she needs to go to an all inclusive 5 star where she can be attended to every minute but I am sure it won't be without complaints no matter where she goes. I find it rude of her to suggest that we should use our own property during the summer and socialize with other guests at the fire (this is one thing we get compliments on often as our guests like to get to know the host and spend a couple hours having a cocktail with them) My husband and I do this maybe once a week and have met some very lovely people. I hope you can see through her knit-picking and see that we are running a lovely resort where everyone can have a great time and great memories. Shirley and Hap

The cottage was nice. We (3 adults and an 8-month old baby) had a great time there. The resort had so many activities for us to do; large playground with many equipments and games; swimming pool; a provided BBQ grill. We took a canoe and puddle boat out for free of charge. I would recommend this resort to anyone.
Our stay was enjoyable despite the cold (we stayed for Easter 2013) and the fact that most attractions in the area were still closed for the season. The cabin was well thought, clean, well-organized... We couldn't of course enjoy the swimming pool (covered in ice), nor the barbecues... Maybe next time?
