The apartment has been newly refurbished with care and good taste, offering wonderful views of Ancient Rome, as far as Piazza Venezia, from the windows of the apartment.

We thought the photos of the apartment and the location were lovely - and were pleasantly surprised that the reality was even better than the photos. The apartment is spacious and gorgeous, the bathroom is great, the location just blocks away from the Colosseum and Palatine Hill, in the lively Monti neighborhood - couldn't be better. The views out of each and every window are fantastic. The Metro station Cavour is just a few blocks away and the main Termini station for connections to other subway lines, buses and trains is one stop away. Walking to vintage clothing stores, restaurants, markets and pharmacies in the Monti neighborhood is very easy. The apartment itself is very quiet and the neighborhood is very safe. There are two beds, the fold out couch which is comfortable enough for a fold out (if you are not exhausted each day, you are not doing it right), and the loft bed upstairs. They are not separated by a door. While we did not meet Paolo he was always available by phone. We did meet Gianfranklin and he was extremely helpful - especially after we locked ourselves out at 11:15 one night. Ask the host who gives you the keys to show you how to lock and unlock both of the doors -- we did not do that and we struggled with unlocking the apartment door and with opening the downstairs door the first time we tried. We loved this apartment. Our AirBnB favorite so far!
Fantastic stay! We did a bliztkrieg Italy tour with only 2.5 days in Rome. Every hour counted for us and even with us having to take a train from Milan to Rome (first hours in Italy), Paolo was great about communicating with us (texting). We were let into the apartment exactly on time. Stairs, yes. We are both in very good shape, but after doing nothing but walking, walking, walking around Rome it was kind of brutal! That would not stop us from renting again, though. Rock solid AC and internet, cool views from the unit. Wonderful restaurants w/in a couple minutes walk.
Very easy to get around. Metro and bus/tram not far either. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend!
We had a great stay at Paolo's suite Baccina. Great location, we walked to everything. Some very important sites are virtually on the doorstep, and some fantastic food too.
The Apartment is very comfortable, and has lovely roof top views across the district.
and to top it off Paolo allowed us to check in early & left fresh milk & a few beers in the fridge for us on arrival.
I don't think we could of found a better place to stay!
A great flat in Rome! My husband and I were in Italy for 17 days and our consensus was that our Airbnb in Rome was the best of the trip. On the top floor with lovely views and great breezes and in the Monti district with lots of food options and the Coliseum just down the street. The washer worked great! The kitchen and the food that was supplied came in handy when we got back too tired to head back out for dinner. There were two air conditioners that kept you cool at night if need be and Paolo and his friend who let us in were very friendly and responsive. Only small downside was the crazy pigeons/seagulls that have a party on the roof right over your bed at night, but we sort of thought it was funny too. Highly recommend if you're looking to explore Rome!
p.s. head to La Casetta della Madonna dei Monti for breakfast right down the street. Lovely place with great coffee/breakfast!
Excellent!! If you are in Rome you should stay here. My wife and I were here for a 4 day stay and loved it. There are a lot of stairs but worth it. We stayed in three other places while in Europe and this was by far the biggest. Paolo was hospitable with providing fruits and milk. We never meet Paolo but we were taken care of by someone who worked for him.
The location is amazing, you are 2-5 minute walk to the forum and the Colosseum is close as well. There is a bus stop 2-5 minute walk away and also a metro stop 5 minute walk. If you are looking for a central spot in rome but also want to be near the local areas then this is your place. There is a small square 2 minutes away where there are about a hundred locals hanging out every night around a fountain. Great environment and experience of life in Rome.
Paolo has everything you need in this place as well. Everything form an iron, full kitchen, to washer machine.
Rating this place four stars because there was not a shower curtain which made showers a bit stressful because we would get water everywhere in the bathroom. I was on vacation, I did not want to worry about anything. If this did not happen then it would be 5 stars.
Thank you Paolo for the great stay!
This apartment is really perfect. Beautiful view, clean and everything you need is available in the apartment. The location is also very nice. Close the all the important places in Rome. Nice neighbourhood with great restaurants. We can recommend this apartment to everybody for having an amazing stay in Rome. Paolo gave us a warm welcome and he even put some beer/yoghurt/juice and fruits in the fridge, really kind! Thanks Paolo for having the opportunity to stay in your beautiful apartment.
About the Host, Paolo
