  • We loved the Doll's House. Everything was comfortable and clean and designed for a pleasant stay. And the breakfasts! Oh,the breakfasts! Stephanie prepares wonderful, delicious, nutritious meals--not too sweet! Each morning was another wonderful surprise. And Tom (email hidden), too. And we loved Austin, their faithful dog. We loved everything about this place! Thank you, Stephanie and Tom, for a wonderful visit!

  • I was very pleased to discover airbnb and to find this place to stay that was within our budget and fairly close to where we needed to be - much better than stayikng in a hotel. This worked out very well for us. Our hosts who were very gracious, even though we arrived very late. The accommodations were very nice - the room is spacious and lovely and I appreciated having chairs to sit and read. The basket with water bottles and other items was helpful. The food was good. We also enjoyed the animals! We definitely were pleased and would recommend the Garden Suite.

  • Stephanie and Tom were gracious and hospitable and the rooms on the third floor were private and comfortable. The other reviews are correct -- great gourmet breakfasts! We found our spot to stay during visits to Pittsburgh.

  • ...a wonderful stay! Our privacy was completely accommodated with no reduction to hospitality. You can trust the "gourmet" description of breakfast, which was made heart-healthy to order for me as far as I could tell (egg whites, whole grains, fresh fruits, more). A few of the 'extras' I appreciated: clean and well-appointed bathroom, warm towels, extra linens, encouraged recycling, convenient location, sitting space to allow for visiting in both rooms, quiet neighborhood, Sunday paper and classical music at breakfast, an amazing library, and a clear appreciation for art throughout (don't miss the creative photo displays and the chessboard made with perfume bottles). Our stay was three nights and two separate/private rooms on a 3rd floor reserved for guests only, all this for less than $300! We're already planning a return trip!

  • This suite was perfect for our family of 3 staying in Pittsburgh for 4 nights. Stephanie and Tom are welcoming yet discreet hosts. The guest rooms and bath are cozy and comfortable, the home cooked breakfasts are delicious, the neighborhood is safe, the house is close to a nice park, several restaurants and shops and has good access to public transportation. We will definitely stay here on our next trip to Pittsburgh.

  • Comfortable home in a delightful little neighbourhood, reminded me of New England, A very quiet, safe are very close to bus connections to the city (about a 25 minute ride, if that).

The rooms are very quiet, private, cozy and well equipped, plus adorable pets and stunning decor!

A taxi for the airport will set you back $45 -$75 depending on the time of day, otherwise you can use 2 buses.

    Very impressed..

  • This is the flagship for what an airbnb experience ought to be. Tremendous attention to detail. A Real Gourmet Breakfast with fresh fruit and scones or Williams-Sonoma pastries (maybe not always?) a whole floor of the charming Victorian House to ourselves, They loaned us umbrellas and even a jacket when it got Chilly. Spent loads of time on suggestions for local culture, events, restaurants and how to get there. Infinite hot water in the shower, clean towels, Soap and Shampoo dispensers in the shower. Just could not have been better.

Tom and I are empty nesters with a Victorian "doll house" with two guest rooms and a full bath that go unused when the kids aren't visiting. I work remotely as a production manager for the University of Michigan's Survey Research Center and do some political and community volunteer work. I love my neighborhood and organize local events and our neighborhood polling place as well. I really love to cook and have experience as a caterer and event planner, so I love having extra people to feed. We're close to public transportation and there is plenty of free parking on the street where we live. We have welcomed guests from 12 countries and 20 states so far and look forward to opening our doors to many more!
