Interaction with Guests
As little or much as required to make sure everything is OK.
Spacious but bustling urban neighborhood in a great city.
Please inquire for complete house rules list on cancellations, etc. We have a two night minimum.
Great for couple or two couples, big enough for a family of 4 or 5. Nice place for entertaining, or as home base for exploring Logan Square (but no loud parties please).
We may consider a pet if it is a transition in housing.
Paul walked us through the entire apartment and showed us everything! They also had a super helpful print out on info about the home, how to contact them, and where to eat.
Very nice, clean place. Looks just like the photos. The backyard and porch were nice also, although unfortunately we didn't have time to use them since we were busy out in the city. Nancy was great and left us some fresh fruit and yogurt, and they also provide a nice list of places to eat and other things in the area. We tried Letizia's Flore (right around the corner) and it was great.
Nancy and Paul live in the floor above with their kids, but other than showing us around they gave us privacy. You can sometimes hear them walking/talking upstairs, but it didn't bother me too much.
Paul and Nancy were very accommodating and helpful. Guests were arriving at different times, we had to arrange luggage drop offs and key pickups and they made sure everything went smoothly.
The place is only a short stroll to the train and in a nice quiet street.
Thanks for having us stay!
We had a wonderful time. The apartment was incredibly clean, comfortable, and in an absolutely perfect location. Great back porch, kitchen, awesome shower, big dining room and living room, and comfortable beds. Quick walk to one of the hopping streets of Logan Square. Who could ask for more? Really. It was wonderful. Thanks Paul and Nancy for your hospitality!
This apartment was perfect for what we were looking for. The neighborhood has lots of good mid-range restaurants, and is quite walkable. We had our daughter's first birthday party at the apartment (most of our family is from Chicago). Unlike most Airbnb apartments, they let us have guests, which made everything much easier for us. It was a perfect spot to entertain. While not luxurious, the beds were more comfortable than any other rental we've done. Though I did not talk to them much, Paul and Nancy were helpful and attentive. The only downside is that the heat is on a single control for the whole building, so we couldn't change the temperature ourselves. That's pretty standard for these older buildings, but it is something to keep in mind. The bottom lines is that I don't think I could ask for more given the price.
Two old college friends and I stayed at this lovely home in Logan Square, Chicago. We had the entire first floor, including 2 bedrooms (one queen, 2 twin beds), kitchen with an eat-in breakfast area, small dining room, living room, study, and full bathroom. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well equipped, rooms simply and nicely furnished, and the place was very clean. The internet service had an excellent high speed connection. The host's description was spot on, and the location was perfect for our needs; just a couple blocks from a friend we were visiting, in an interesting area of Chicago containing numerous delis and cafes, and bookstores that we especially liked, with convenient access to the CTA. Why did we feel especially at home at this place? I liked the pictures which captured my interest, and abundance of plants, little touches like playing cards (which we had forgotten), interesting drawings and books. These little touches probably contributed to that feeling that we all had, that this was a great place to stay. This feeling was also fostered by our host, Nan, who took us to her place, cheerfully describing the neighborhood. She made sure we were all set for our stay, and inviting us to inquire upstairs if any issue came up (which proved to be unnecessary). And Nan also left us with a snack that was a wonderful touch.
