Thank you for stopping by! Here's a description of the place and its location.
Living between Paris and Buenos Aires for the last 10 years, I've already hosted many guests from around the world and everyone I have met so far has been absolutely fantastic. You can read my other listing reviews at the bottom of this page.
I look forward to hosting many more future guests from the Airbnb community and share my experience and favorite spots in Buenos Aires!
Bonus: If you're interested in discovering Buenos Aires' burgeoning contemporary art scene I'll be happy to share some precious tips on art galleries, artists' ateliers, must see museums and other gems.

“Recoleta is at the intersection of art, culture, architecture, and one very famous cemetery.
Nestled between Retiro and Palermo, Recoleta's Parisian ambiance garnered Buenos Aires the sobrenombre, "The Paris of South America."
Life and death collide in Recoleta, a refined central Buenos Aires neighborhood with spirited energy and an illustrious cemetery. Culture consumers, francophiles, students, and art gallery denizens wait in line together at Starbucks, share baguettes at Plaza Francia's La Feria Hippie, and scrutinize the works of Titian and Goya. Shop, study, or meander through its street fairs—whatever you do in Recoleta, you won't be alone.”

Take a look at Buenos Aires' Recoleta neighborhood:

This very spacious 2 bedroom duplex is centrally located in calle Junin at the heart of Recoleta, one of the more affluent and safe neighborhoods in Buenos Aires. Housed in an early-20th century classic French-style building, well-maintained and secured, this 110 m2 (1200 sq ft) apartment is a stylish blend of contemporary art and design furniture.

Located on the 2nd floor with an original vintage elevator, this very quiet duplex with its beautiful hardwood floors, high ceilings and contemporary furniture and artworks offers the perfect comfort for your stay.

The apartment has been recently renovated by an architect respecting the original French style and adding new volumes offering all the modern features such as a high end fully equipped kitchen, a very comfortable bathroom, air conditioning and heating. The blend of vintage furniture and contemporary artworks gives a unique touch to the place. You will also appreciate the calm and the clear view of the quiet private courtyard while being in the very center of Buenos Aires.

The apartment opens on a large living and dining area connected to a fully equipped kitchen, very bright with its own window eyeing on to several courtyards and gardens.
It offers a comfortable office space and 2 separate bedrooms:
- The MASTER BEDROOM is located upstairs. With its double size bed and its own private and comfortable bathroom this bedroom is perfect for a couple. It has air conditioning. Please note that this is a loft bedroom that overlooks the living room, as you can see in the apartment’s pictures. The second room is far enough from the master bedroom so you won’t have sound issues.
- The SECOND BEDROOM, located downstairs has also a double size bed. It doesn’t have air conditioning but is fresh even on hot summer days. A fan is available.

The fully equipped kitchen (including a washing machine) and the large dining room make it easy to enjoy home-cooked meals during your stay.

A professional maid is in charge of the cleaning and ensures that bed linen and towels are changed before and after stays. If you are considering staying in Buenos Aires for an extended period, a weekly maid service is available.

Recoleta is sleek, chic and classic Buenos Aires. It’s comparable to neighborhoods like the Upper East Side in New York, Leblon in Rio de Janeiro and Madeleine in Paris.
Recoleta neighborhood is one of the more affluent and safe districts in Buenos Aires. This downtown residential area has great historical and architectural interest making it an important tourist destination and a cultural center of the city.
Recoleta’s French-inspired brownstones are located around the corner from some of the city’s finest designer boutiques, art galleries, elegant restaurants and a robust cafe culture.
Bounded by the city geographical center and San Telmo to the east and ultra-trendy Palermo to the west, you'll be surrounded by beautiful parks and green spaces such as Plaza Francia and Thays Park offering many activities: botanic garden, zoo, picnic areas, bike paths and concerts.
Santa Fe Avenue, just one block away, claims the top spot as Buenos Aires’s busiest shopping corridor. Upscale shops, excellent restaurants both grand and intimate, trendy cafés, nightlife spots and a walker's paradise are just outside your door. You'll find literally everything in the surrounding area (5-20 minutes walking distance):
- The MALBA (Museum of Latin American Art), The MNBA (Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes).
- The botanical garden and the zoo.
- Great areas for strolling: Palermo, San Telmo, Plaza San Martin and Puerto Madero.
- Cinemas, Opera (Colon Theatre) and nightlife (Tango, clubs, lounges, cafes and bars).
- The mythical library "el Ateneo" housed in an early-20th century theatre.
- A supermarket across the street, bakeries, pharmacies, ATM machines/banks, florist, wineries and other specialized shops.

The residential building is an early-20th century classic French-style, well-maintained and secured with a janitor. You'll stay in the building that faces the private courtyard far from the noisy streets of Buenos Aires.

- High-speed Internet (WIFI)
- Cable TV (+100 channels)
- 2 Double beds (140 cm x 200 cm)
- Fully Fitted Kitchen
- Washing machine
- Coffee machine
- Refrigerator
- Oven

-Towels and bed linen are provided

The apartment is a great base to discover the city with quick access to all subways and sightseeing. The subway station (Facultad de Medicina, D Line) is 2 blocks away, like most bus stops that will take you almost anywhere in the city: Palermo, San Telmo, Plaza San Martin, Las Canitas and Puerto Madero. The main train station and Newberry Airport for domestic flights are also close.
Three parking garages are near the apartment (less than 100 meters).

Please note that a fully refundable deposit of 150 Euros is required. It is authorized by Airbnb 24 hours before your check-in and released back 48 hours after your check-out.

I'm very flexible with check in and check out times and always try to arrange what's best for the guests.
Please remember to send me your arrival/departure time to Buenos Aires, flight/train and airport/station so I can arrange your check in and check out.
I like to be present for the guests' check in but since I live between Paris and Buenos Aires this is not always possible. In this case I send the key pickup instructions a week before your arrival and you'll be welcomed by charming Ana.

  • Gabriel's apartment is very charming, it has everything needed. We traveled with our 3 years old daughter, and it was great! He accommodated one more room for us. Ana the concierge is very nice and lovely person. Gabriel was always responding our messages very quickly, in fact that was the reason for us to decide to get his apartment. Thank you Gabriel!

  • For sure I'll share my story after received the proper invoice.

  • I stayed in Gabriel's flat for 3 nights with a friend, it's a lovely place in a very cool area, very clean and spacious but with a lot of character and style. Gabriel went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed before and during our stay, including recommendations and tips for the area. It felt like a slice of buenos aires life as opposed to a city break, which is exactly what we wanted.

  • Gabriel's apartment is really great and very well located! Our stay in his apartment was just perfect!

    April 2014
  • Gabriel was a perfect host even though he was not there to meet... He gave us lots on hints and tips around his favourite haunts in a city with so much to do and stay.

His flat was in a good spot and within walking distance of many of the landmarks like the recoleta cemetery, museo de belles artes. We took him up on a number of his restaurant recommendations and enjoyed each one we visited.

His flat was stylish and was in a charming old building with a very helpful house keeper. It has all the amenities you would really wish for and was ideal for two couples staying together or like us a family of four.

We loved the buzz of Buenos Aries and would recommend it to anybody!

    April 2014
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 night stay in Gabriel's apartment in Recoleta. We quickly felt like we were part of the neighborhood, and it was a nice alternative to staying in a hotel. The apartment is centrally located within easy walking distance of many of the major sights, shops, restaurants and the subway. (El Ateneo, a fantastic bookshop in a renovated theatre, is just around the corner and you can easily spend a couple of hours here). The apartment is comfortable and sunny. Gabriel was a friendly host, quick to respond to our inquiries and providing suggestions for our stay.

  • Just came back from two weeks in Argentina, the first of which we spent in Gabriel's apartment. It was a great landing pad for us Buenos Aires newbies--roomy, comfortable, clean, well supplied, and in a great neighborhood. Gabriel charged us about what you'd pay for a not-so-hot hotel in the same area, so we think it's a really good deal. Gabriel was easy to deal with, although we didn't meet him--he has everything set up so our arrival and departure went like clockwork. Recommend highly!

  • Great apartment. Very central and quiet and a good neighbourhood to be in. Gabriel was quick to respond via email to any queries. Although there is a second and separate lavatory there is only one bathroom which is en suite. Highly recommend it.

    March 2014
  • Gabriel's place is very nice, very clean and super well located. We stayed there for a few nights, my husband and I, and our two young kids, and it was perfect. Ana, the lady who takes care of the building, was very helpful and super sweet.
Gabriel has decorated the place in a very special way, making us feel we are at home in a new country. The place is on two levels, one room in the loft, with a full ensuite bathroom, a small office space and a toilet. the main floor has the large living|/dining, the small kitchen and the other bedroom. It was perfect for our needs. Gabriel left a good selection of guide books which we really appreciated.

    March 2014
  • thank you Gabriel for the wonderful apartment. Loved Annie who helped us very much. The location is ideal and wished we did not move. Recoleta is the best! We loved the everything about the apartment except the air conditioner. It was comfortable.

We would definitely return to stay again at the Gabriels' and the location.
