Besides, in the house there is a small artisanal bakery (CEREAL), where Ana, the hostess, makes and sells her products. Our breakfast will certainly make the difference in your stay with us.

Santa Teresa is located high on a hill, near Forest of Tijuca. It's a very quiet place and it's historical and cultural heritage of the city of Rio de Janeiro. Therefore, many artists and intelectuals choose it to be their home. From here, you can easily get to many other well-known places as Lapa, Centro, Corcovado station etc by bus or van.

Ana was a wonderful host! She made us feel right at home and helped with any questions we had. Breakfast was a plus and delicious! I would highly recommend staying here; it will feel like a home away from home. :)

Ana immediately made us feel like part of the family and was very helpful in making us acquainted with buses and the metro. She is very knowledgeable about Rio and was wonderful in helping us decide what to do. The descriptions of her house are accurate and it is a wonderful retreat in a huge and sometimes chaotic city. We enjoyed Santa Theresa since it has a quaintness that doesn't exist in the beach neighborhoods or in the centro. However it does mean that you have to rely on buses and their somewhat crazy drivers to get to many of the attractions . Breakfast here is fantastic.

Ana was wonderful! In addition to making us feel very welcome, she made us breakfast in the morning with some of her amazing bread. Air conditioning in the room was a plus. A few notes for people visiting: the bathroom is shared with the rest of the family--that wasn't a problem for me at all and was all part of the experience, but I know some people prefer their own. The house is located in an uphill, residential area of Santa Teresa that is a 20+ minute walk away from the touristy parts of the neighborhood lower down, although it's very easy to get to those parts by bus, taxi or on foot. Since the walk is downhill from Ana's, I recommend taking the bus or a taxi back up to her place.

Great host and a lovely house in the hills of Santa Teresa! They were very helpful and have free breakfast in the mornings! Highly recommend!

We would definitely stay in Ana's AirBnB again. She really is a welcoming host and had great suggestions that helped us have memorable Rio adventures.

We totally enjoyed our stay in Rio and Ana's lovely Santa Teresa AirBnB. We arrived on Sunday and were delighted by Ana's neighborhood brunch. Throughout our stay her homemade breads, granola, fresh fruits and coffee made getting up a pleasure. Our room was perfect with a great view of the valley with glimpses of the bay and Christ Redeemer. Ana's AirBnB location is great to get around too, very accessible to Santa Teresa, central Rio and beaches via bus) and metro connections. We recommend Ana's AirBnB for a terrific base in Rio.

Ana and her kids were very accommodating and sweet. They had great advise on how to navigate Rio and where to go. The house is very beautiful and serene with views of Christ the Redeemer. Breakfast is fantastic. The room is basic with a powerful fan to keep you cool. The only negative was, since we were there on a Friday night, there was quite a lot of noise form nearby places (houses? bars?) that lasted late into the night.

I'm a baker. I make and sell breads, cakes and other produts in my house, where I live with 2 sons and a daughter. On Sundays my house is open for people for breakfast.
I like music very much and I sing in chorus.
Twice a week I go to Pilates to make exercises.
I like to receive people from many places of the word in my house. I think it's a great oportunity to know people.
I hope we have a good time together.
