I reached Lavinia early in the afternoon (about 2pm) and was greeted by Vicki. All the formalities were done quickly and I was given the room keys and towels for my stay. I was told by Sharon that the single rooms were not available so was given a twin room for the price of one (which was obviously fine by me) The room was very clean, and just as shown in the picture. You are provided with free wifi, clean linens, a tv (that had the channel that was showing world cup matches), the room's own water and floor heater, soap and shampoo, a small fridge and ofcourse air conditioner (oh and I had my own balcony). If I had to come back to seoul and be on a decent budget, this is the place to stay. Right across from the street is Insadong area, which is a good tourist spot with food stalls, art galleries, taekwondo shows on the weekends if you're lucky and lots of small shops for souveniers (even money exchange at good rates). A little bit of a walk further towards Dongdaemun and Jongno3 sam ga you will find Kwangjang street market where you can eat like a local and buy fresh meat/seafood and also fabric and clothes shops. Even further is Ihwa Mural village which I feel is a must see. Very convenient and close to the Anguk station. Breakfast was simple, on the morning I did wake up for it, there was cereal with milk and bread with jam. Ignore the sound comments, this place is worth every penny! The bus stop for the limousine bus to Incheon is not far from Lavinia. There is a convenience store right underneath and opposite the guesthouse. Thank you guys I had a very good experience at Lavinia.
This place is conveniently located near the shopping area ( Insadong was within 10min walking distance ) and subway station is also nearby within 4-5 min walking distance. The host was very friendly and helpful. I emailed Sharon for the direction from airport to the guest house and she replied my mail promptly and specific clear direction was given. This is the first time I stayed in a guest house and the experience was fantastic! Room was clean and the place appeared exactly the same as I saw in the website picture. I will definitely come back to Lavinia whenever I am in Seoul... Thank you for the making my stay in Seoul so wonderful and enjoyable!
Awesome place to live in. Stayed there for 2 nights, the room is cosy and clean. The room looked exactly like the picture shown. It provided almost everything that one's need. It's also pretty accessible to tourist attraction such as the palaces. The host is friendly as well. Really glad that I have booked the stay with Lavinia. Thank you Lavinia.
처음 이용해 본 Airb&b.
My first experience in an Airbnb, it was a nice place to stay my first days in Seoul. Vicky and her Mom were nice and the location it was extremely convenient. The room is cozzy and clean, a little noisy but if you use earplugs is more confortable, so I recommend this place, it's a good option to stay in Seoul.
Vicky and her mother made me very welcome. The building is new and fresh, and the sheets and towels were very clean. When I needed an iron and ironing board, Vicky and her mother always made sure they arrived quickly and were most helpful. Although the building is new, sounds can be heard: people speaking in the corridors, and water running (especially at night). There is only a ceiling light and no reading lamps. The breakfast was adequate: cereal, toast, jam, orange juice, bananas -- the same every day, but no butter. The location is good: about 10 minutes' walk from the subway, and there are many small Korean restaurants around, but only serving Korean food -- nothing international. If I were going to Seoul again to visit, I would stay at the Lavinia again, but if I was traveling with my spouse, I would probably look for somewhere with a little more privacy and window coverings. All in all, it was a positive experience.
Unfortunately the flight was late and I couldn't reach the place for the night I reserved.
Very conveniently located hostel. With the directions it is easy to find.
The room was simple and small but clean and the staff was very friendly.
This is a fantastically located place to stay in one of the most interesting parts of the city for new visitors. I walked everywhere, and wish I had more time! Small room (as per the norm in Korea) but very clean, and very nice, and the staff were helpful. Very fast internet. I would return. A tad hard to find for the taxi without Korean instructions and address, so be sure to ask for them.
This was a good stay. Really nice rooms, love the neighborhood. Free breakfast!
