Very new and clean! And the floor heating system (ondol) is great and keeps the room very warm. Cereal and toast for breakfast was also a great plus.
Sharon and Vicky were very kind and helpful and were easily accessible for requests or questions.
The best part is how close it is to Insadong (which has lots of food(!) as well as cultural shops and galleries) as well as Anguk station (Subway line 3). Insadong is probably only 4 blocks away, and has lots of great food, and I'd estimate only 15 minutes away from the major palaces of Gyeongbok-gung and Changdeok-gung.
I would certainly stay here again.
You get what you payed for.
Cozy small clean rooms with Fridge, tv, hairdryer and complimentary laundry and wifi.
Towels are small though, as reviewed before:)
Cool that there was a mice breakfast: toasts with jam, coffee, cerealwith milk, juice and banana.
+100 points for perfect, just ideal location!
Thanks for a plesant stay!
I recently stayed at Lavinia for 5 nights and had a fantastic experience. First off, the location is just perfect.. Only a short walk away from Insadong and nearby Samcheong-dong. The room and bathroom were very clean and, the TV was a nice addition. Sharon was a great host and I was really happy to find I could borrow a plug adapter since I had forgotten to buy one at the airport.
I totally enjoyed my stay at Lavinia and I am definitely looking forward to staying again the next time I visit Seoul!
sincerely : everything was new, well thought and done, hot water, mini fridge, TV, and OVERALL for me : quiet and safe
For the breakfast, it is basic, but in 2 seconds in the street you can have a bibimbap for 5000KRW !
Staff is friendly and helpful
the district is nice and pleasant
The location of the hostel is super convenience. It is so easy to get around to the shopping area by local bus or train. More importantly, the local neighbourhood is a hidden gem. It is so quiet and have the local character.
The only downside of the accomendation is thin wall. the sound proof does not exist. I have been woke up a few times everynight as people talking and walking around the hall.
In general, I would recommend the place as of the location.
