Welcome to Hong Kong, a buzzing metropolis by day and a neon galaxy by night. There is so much to do and explore and no better place to do it from than Wanchai.
It is the perfect location for you no mater why you have come to Hong Kong.
My apartment is small but it is equipped with everything you'll need: soft sheets, fluffy towels, a mini kitchen, bathroom, TV, WiFi, guidebooks, and character. It is ideal for an individual or a couple that doesn't mind sharing a close space.
Did I mention it is in a great location? It's only a:
500 meter walk to the Convention Center
200 meter walk to the MTR (HK's subway system)
600 meter walk to the famous Star Ferry
In the studio bedroom/living room you'll find:
a double bed with a brand new very comfortable mattress (a little smaller than doubles in the West, it is 4' x 6'/180cm X 120cm)
a TV (Local channels -- 2 in English -- but hopefully you'll be too busy exploring the neighborhood to use it :)
free WiFi (super fast broadband network)
a quiet air conditioner
In the Kitchenette you'll find:
a Mini fridge
a single burner induction stove
an electric kettle
coffees, teas, snacks and drinks
beer and wine
a washing machine
In the Bathroom you'll find:
a hair dryer
220 volt outlets
a plug adapter for your gadgets (not a voltage converter)
heater/dehumidifier to help dry clothes
The building is located directly between the Hong Kong convention center and the Wanchai MTR (subway) station in a part of Wanchai that was built in the late '60s. The buildings are a bit old but the apartment is taken care of. The apartment was originally a larger unit that was renovated and split into 3 studio apartments this year.
The neighborhood is full of restaurants, cafes and pubs and has terrific transportation: buses, mini buses, taxis, trams and ferries!
Getting to the apartment from the airport couldn't be easier - you can take the train or bus and the bus stop is just downstairs. I'll send you directions when you book. Enjoy your stay!

Check in is after 2pm and check out is before 12 noon. I'm happy to accommodate early check in and late check out as long as I don't have guests arriving/departing on the same days.

Alex's place is clean and tidy, great location, lots of activities and handy for just about everything. Alex is very quick in his replies and very responsive to enquires. The apt is small, but most HK living spaces are small, and it has everything we need. We have a good time in HK.
For a hassle-free, worry-free accommodation in Hong Kong, I recommend, Alex! He is easy to talk to and to deal with. Dependable if you have questions about your trip and accommodation. Honest and precise in describing the unit. Provides small surprising touches--extra toiletries, soaps and trash bags as well as wine, coffee and tea for guests--you won't find in some hotels.
Thanks for making sure we had one less thing to think about when we where in HK, Alex. Cheers, I-van & Moi
All in all the room was ok, the only problem i had was that there was a short set of stairs up the building and i had a 30Kgs luggage. Room was clean, the thing i like is that the bathroom has enough space.
Excellent host. However by Australian standards the appt was tiny, but suitable for 1 person only. If you are not fussy, it's very cost effective.
Surprisingly spacious and convenient for the price! It's a great place, with plenty of amenities and a host who goes above and beyond. The location is quite convenient, especially if you're comfortable to use buses. Also, Wan Chai is home to many wonderful coffee shops.
**At the time of my stay (Jan 2014) there was construction going on next door. If you're a late sleeper on the weekdays, this may be an issue.
I stayed at Alex's place in Hong Kong. What an amazing city. Truly one of the best the world has to offer. The place was clean, well located near the super efficient MTR. Also walking distance to Star Ferry. Plenty of shopping locally as well. I certainly will consider staying here again on my next trip to Hong Kong. I hope you consider it too!
My partner and I stayed 4 night at Alex's apartment in Wan Chai. We both enjoyed the time and will definitely book Alex's apartment again next time in Wan Chai.
The apartment is a small room with everything. When I say small it is as big as a medium size bedroom while it contains nice bathroom - shower + toilet and a closet, very handy, and a kitchenette. We found the small room was very cozy after first day. Instructions are very detailed and clear. 24 hour security, so very safe. It was a little bit noisy when the lift runs all night, but we got used to it after first night. Alex is very responsive and always willing to be assistant. We had a late flight back to Australia, so he arranged late check out for us. The couple hour difference really made our stay in HK more relaxing and pleasant. Big big thanks to Alex.
The location is great, right in the centre of Wan Chai, one block away from the MTR station, close to pubs and restaurant. The local Wan Chai market is only 5 min walk. Not many real coffee place, but one on Johnston Rd.
It is really great place to stay in HK! Everything is as it was described on AirBnB website - even the color of the bed coverlet :) Flat is very clean and everything is working properly.
Once again thanks for a great place to stay.
Entrance and hallway is typical HK old apartment. The room itself was pretty small but have pretty much the items u need in order to stay. My room was located close to a washing room (?) hence a bit of noise at night but overall okay since I'm a deep sleeper. Alex was very detailed in the instruction and helpful in attending to inquiries.
I did not meet Alex. He managed the check in process remotely. I had no problem getting to the apartment. The unit is small but well located and equipped with all the stuff you might need for a short stay. The only negative about the apartment is the noisy surrounding. The noisy activities started right around bed time and continues through out the night making it difficult to rest.
