The apartment is really quiet all day, it has a lot of day light and sunny all morning.
Its a very spacious apartment, all rooms are quite big, perfect for a group of travelers.
The street has a slow car traffic, which makes it even more quite, but at the same time its very close to Broadway and Steinway, where all the action is, also the subway is near by, and will take you to Manhattan in a bit.
We had a really nice stay at Andres apartment.
The apartment is just a five minute walk away from the subway and from a supermarket.
It was clean and quiet. I would recommend this apartment!
My stay in the apartment was simply perfect. The apartment is like presented in the photos, it was clean and well situated. The area is very safe, animated and there are all what you need in 5mn. Andres was very usefull and available to help and reactive. I recommend this apartment at 100%
The apartment was very clean, comfortable, and conveniently located near our older son and his family. We stayed there with our younger son and his wife. It was cosy for four people, but just the size we needed under the circumstances. We were able to make ourselves all a little breakfast, but otherwise we didn't do any cooking. It looked like there was a good supply of spices, herbs, etc., however, for anybody who wanted to do some real cooking.
Andres was very helpful -- flexible about our arrival and departure times, and he took time to come over once during the day when the internet and TV connection failed (Time-Warner's fault, not his) and get it fixed.
We had a excellent stay at Andres´s flat. He is a great host and you feel like home. It´s a nice neighbourhood close to Manhattan. The flat is located 20 minutes away from time square by subway. We could really recommend the accommodation. It was the perfect stay in ny! The flat is clean and cute, stocked with everything you need for a nice stay, clean linnens and towels and all the tools you would want to prepare a meal. The WiFi internet works well, the shower is hot. Andres is an amazing host, who will provide you with whatever information you will need while you stay in NYC. Thanks again, Andres!
I had a great and pleasant stay at Andre's Apartment. Its location is perfect: 5 minutes walk to the train, surrounded by great affordable restaurants. The host is attentive and answered all my questions.
We just spent one week at Andrea's appartment in Astoria. The place was modest but clean and tidy. It was perfect for having a good rest after long walks into NYC. The area is like a small town with all the facilities and the metro is 5 minutes walk away. The appartment has a living room + bedroom and the price is really good. We will definitely recommend this place.
We were three guys who rented Andres apartment for eight nights. So we really got time to start to feel like home there. Best thing with the apartment is the location. It's located on a really quiet street. Still, it's just a couple of 100 meters to Broadway Street, wich holds everything you need; coffee shops, restaurants, ATM, grocery stores and our favourite, Break bar & Billiards sport bar. Also Broadway metrostation is just around the corner, from where you can take the Q- or N-train to Times Square in around twenty minutes.
The apartment was also perfect in size for three. And the queen-size bed really comfortable. Also getting the keys was made really easy.
But, even though we generally were really pleased with the apartment, there were some issues that weren't perfect. Generally the apartment looked much nicer in the pictures, it also was very dusty. There wasn't always enough warm water for all of us to shower, and the AC was REALLY loud and the cable worked unreliably. The worst thing in our case was that the internet didn't work the last two days. We used internet to be connected with our families and to plan the days, so it really made it harder when we didn't have internet.
But as said, we liked the apartment and would recommend it to anyone that can live with those small cons I mentioned.
This apartment was perfect in size and location. One block up and over to the right was the Broadway stop on the Subway. One block up and to the left was Dunkin Donuts. Cool Bars and a hip supermarket. No smoking allowed, but a hookah and tobacco in the open and incense holders. Wanted to join in, but followed the rules. I read after the fact in a review that the shower handles are labeled wrong. So, unlike my wife's shower, there is plenty of hot water to go around. Also, ran out of TP. For the price, a decent place to stay.
Andres was such a great person to work with. He communicates frequently, and is thorough when answering questions. We were newbies so it helped a lot. He made the experience so simple.
The apartment was exactly as listed, and perfectly accommodating to the four of us. We also enjoyed getting to watch Brooklyn Public Access TV after a day of walking all over the city. The bed is very comfortable, the couch can be slanted if you fit two on it but that did not bother us. There is plenty of room to store your clothes and belongings. The Wifi worked fine. The bathroom was clean and the shower had a wide rain-style head - nice. Andres even left some soap and small toiletries just in case - super thoughtful. Also, the apartment is situated in such a way that it's very quiet, and you can hear almost no street traffic noise.
This place is also really close to the N/Q line, and we found this amazing/inexpensive bagel place about four blocks away. I think we ate there nearly every day. Great burgers and craft beer place about six blocks away. Plus a Walgreens nearby, a great Greek pastry place, and the neighborhood was chill and nice.
About a ten minute walk away was the Noguchi Museum and a sculpture park by the river. If you're into that, it's worth the short walk. MOMA PS1 is also a short subway ride away.
Overall, could not have asked for better. Andres was really great to AirBNB from, and his listing is honest and accurate. The location is great, has a lot to offer. The apartment is cozy and clean, and the neighborhood is nice. We would definitely stay this place again in the future.
Andres' apartment is in a great location -- it was nice to stay in a quiet neighbourhood and at the same time, have easy access to downtown Manhattan. The metro is just around the corner from the apartment and there are also restaurants and food stores nearby. The apartment itself is on the third floor (walk up) and is clean and comfortable. Andres was very good with communication and all arrangements and transactions were effortless. Thanks Andres!
