Killington, Vermont is a beautiful mountain town. In the winter, there is the best skiing and riding on the east coast. In the spring and summer, there are tons of outdoor activities. In the fall, you have amazing fall foliage.
We love our location! We're just off the main Killington Access road which means you're close to everything - bars, restaurants, shops and less than 2 miles to the mountain. We're also less than 10 minutes to both the Killington golf course and Green Mountain National golf course, plus hiking, swimming, antiquing and much more.
While we recommend having a car in Killington and have ample parking space, the Killington Bus is about a half mile from the house and can take you to the mountain as well as to the city of Rutland.
There are also numerous taxi and shuttle services in the area. In fact, the bars run their own free shuttles which we strongly recommend taking if you plan to go out drinking.

Pre-arrival: Dave was great - easily reachable, readily communicable, and super helpful.
Pros: The house was great - honestly, nicer than it looks in pictures. Good location and cozy experience. It was nice to have a kitchen with plenty of plates, glassware, etc. Also good to do the linen service that Dave provides.
Cons: It was a little chilly upstairs - I think the heat was coming from the 1st floor only. Also, we were there during a snowstorm and no one came to shovel stairs and the plow for the driveway didn't come until afternoon.
Overall, a good experience. I'm pleased we stayed and I would go to this house again.
Dave was a great host. There was a scheduling snafu with the linens and he personally came and dressed the beds! The cabin was a perfect spot to host a get together and I'd gladly go back without hesitation.
We had a great summer stay in the cabin with a group of 15 adults and 2 kids. Having 8 separate bedrooms all with comfortable beds and linens was a nice luxury we hadn't necessarily always found on previous group holidays. The hot tub is also of a very nice standard and great for relaxing in at all times of day. I would warn that the kitchens are small (having access to both was really helpful) and the walls don't block much noise, but overall it was a great spot for a big group and we found lots of fun outdoor entertainment in the Killington area such as hiking, taking the gondola to the top, and kayaking.
A group of us rented this house for a guys golf weekend and had an excellent experience. The house was clean, well maintained and has a big back deck and nice side yard which is great for the summer time. It's also only minutes away from Killington's golf course. There is more than ample sleeping space and I would imagine is great in the winter time too for a ski vacation.
The stay was beautiful! Everything was set up perfectly! Very homey! It was secluded and the setup was great for our need. Lots of bedrooms and bathrooms and great space!
Dave was very easy to work with and quick to respond. A group of my friends were doing a bike race in Vermont for the weekend and Dave's place was the perfect place to make our home base! The house was spacious and clean and the location was perfect. All of the tips and instructions were detailed and extremely helpful. The hot tub was a nice addition after a long bike ride as well! I would definitely recommend staying here if you are in the area with a group of friends. Thank you for a great weekend away!

I'm a tech guru who has become a vacation rental guru. I spend most of the year with my family in Buenos Aires, Argentina with frequent trips back to Killington, Vermont. We have properties that we own and manage in both locations (yes, that is a lot of distance to cover). I'm also a father, snowboarder, dog lover and traveller.
