OUR NEIGHBORHOOD

Bed-Stuy is a vibrant, eclectic community. Brooklyn is fashionable these days, and for many it's as much an aesthetic as it is a home--small scale, artisanal, local. But in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn is more than a lifestyle; it's a community. And travelers from all over the world are increasingly drawn to its unique and historic culture. We'll help you find interesting spots for food, drink and culture in the neighborhood and throughout the borough.

Easy, Fast Subway to Manhattan
Our apartment is blocks from the A, C and G trains, just 20 minutes from lower Manhattan and a half hour to Times Square. We're also walking distance to Pratt University and a short ride to well-trod Brooklyn neighborhoods like Williamsburg, Fort Greene, Prospect Heights and Park Slope.

We look forward to hosting you!

  • First time using Airbnb and we were not disappointed. Kai and Kedd were excellent hosts. Very nice, very helpful. They bought us a bottle of wine to congratulate us on our wedding (we drove up to NYC to get married).

Apartment was spotless. Very clean and well maintained.

    Thanks guys.

  • I had a very pleasant experience staying here. I communicated w/ Jed more on the front end, and once we got there Kai gave us the tour and recommendations on bars and restaurants in the area. Both of them were very friendly and helpful every step of the way! If you stay here you must go to two places nearby to eat: Peaches Hothouse which serves up some of the best fried chicken you'll ever put in your mouth, and Alice's Arbor which is a wonderful coffee/bar/restaurant also really close by that serves up healthy and delicious food. We went there twice to kick off our day with a strong cup of joe and a nutritious breakfast. I liked that the A and C train were easily accessible and offered a quick trip into Manhattan. I think that the best of part of this room is the bed... so comfortable! And the private courtyard in the back is also very inviting!

  • The AirBnB setup that Kai and Jedd have in their Brooklyn home is absolutely fantastic. Our hosts let us know that they were going to the beach the first few nights of our stay and gave us a lock box code so we could easily access a set of house keys for ourselves. Finding and getting into the house was really easy. The room and outdoor patio area was exactly like they appear in the AirBnB pictures and very clean and comfortable. The location is excellent and only a 6 block walk in either direction to several subway lines. We were easily able to commute to both a NY Yankee and Mets baseball game and to several Broadway performances as well as all the other popular New York destinations. We would recommend this AirBnB to anyone traveling to New York and Brooklyn. Thank you Jedd and Kia for opening you home to some first time AirBnB travelers.

  • It was our first time in New York and our first time with airbnb, and it couldn't have been more perfect. For the week Kai & Jedd's place became our home. We were given great tips when we arrived and were left to run amok in this wonderful city. Excellent location for visiting each of the boroughs with a gorgeous garden to relax in and the comfiest bed to crawl into at then end of the day. Thank you so much boys, we loved every moment!!

  • Kai and Jeds place was everything we wanted. Great location. And they were extremely kind and helpful. The space really feels like your own apartment with the private entrance. And beautiful back patio. Highly recommend!

  • Perfect location in Brooklyn for my first visit to NY, very accessible. Space is big, so you have room to move around, and a comfortable bed. Host, Kai was very accommodating, helpful, and welcoming. Being able to sit in the back yard space sunning and enjoying coffee added to my relaxed time. Staying in Brooklyn and catching subway in all directions, allowed my cousin and I to really take in the various surrounding cities, be prepared to walk alot. We bought a 7 day metro pass, which totally saved time and money. Make this choice, you'll feel right at home.

  • Our first experience with Airbnb was totally satisfying and a great joy! Everything was very uncomplicated, the room is just wonderful (and as described), spacious and the bed very very cozy.
As we left early in the morning and returned late in the evening we haven't met Jedd at all and Kai only a couple of times. He was helpful and gave us the feeling that in cases of problems and questions he is around for any help or advice. All in all we felt very welcomed and enjoyed this vibrant neighborhood that shows another side of New York outside from Manhattan. We felt save all the time, even late at night around 4 am. So the distance to Manhattan (around 20 minutes to Downtown by subway) is no reason for not experiencing the night life of Manhattan.
If you want to escape from noisy Manhattan to have a relaxed night you should stay with Kai and Jedd. We would definitely go again!

  • Had a really good stay at Kai and Jedds place! Really nice guys and the room was great! Can really recommend it!

  • Our stay at Kai&Jedd's was simply fantastic. We were looking for a place that made us feel like home; this place suited us perfect. In a very nice neighbourhood of Brooklyn. With the metro within 5minutes walking. The room is really big, and you have your own entrance. Every morning fresh coffee and tea. It made us feel like we were inhabitants of Brooklyn for one week.

Kai and Jedd are nice and helpfull people; they know nice spots in Brooklyn and in the rest of the city.

If you stay here you should definitly take breakfast at Alice's Arbor or at Mrs. Dalia.

Conclusion; perfect place, nice neighbourhood, friendly people
