Bed-Stuy is a vibrant, eclectic community. Brooklyn is fashionable these days, and for many it's as much an aesthetic as it is a home--small scale, artisanal, local. But in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn is more than a lifestyle; it's a community. And travelers from all over the world are increasingly drawn to its unique and historic culture. We'll help you find interesting spots for food, drink and culture in the neighborhood and throughout the borough.
Easy, Fast Subway to Manhattan
Our apartment is blocks from the A, C and G trains, just 20 minutes from lower Manhattan and a half hour to Times Square. We're also walking distance to Pratt University and a short ride to well-trod Brooklyn neighborhoods like Williamsburg, Fort Greene, Prospect Heights and Park Slope.
We look forward to hosting you!
—Kai and Jedd
My wife and I spent four nights at Kai and Jedd's home in Bed-Stuy. The room was spacious and well-furnished. Everything was clean as could be, including the bathroom (shower shared) and the kitchen (shared). This room really has a feeling of privacy, given that Kai and Jedd live upstairs. We did not have a chance to meet Jedd, but did speak with Kai several times. He is friendly, informative, and funny! The map of the neighborhood, written in chalk on the kitchen blackboard, was a real plus. We went back to it several times to find a restaurant or the fastest walking route to the subway.
Kai and Jedd were the best hosts ever! Even when they weren't at the house we felt welcome to be there. They were always ready to hear us talking about the things we did during the day. We were glad that it was everything clean and cosy. The neighborhood is really safe and it was easy to find the metro tech station. Hope to be back soon! Loved it all!
Staying with Kai and Jedd was our first time using air b and b and we loved it. They were very accommodating to all of our requests and questions. The room felt like a little private apartment with everything we could need. They had a map they made on the chalkboard with local joints and commenting information that was very helpful. Thank you guys so much!
Kai and Jedd were gracious hosts whose hospitality and care went above and beyond in subtle ways, like having a fresh pot of coffee ready in the morning, and almonds left conspicuously out on the table upon our return from a long run:) Indeed, their whole apartment is a clever collection of subtle yet beautiful pieces that work together to create a warm, lively, homey whole. We felt safe and comfortable and free as we could come and go as we pleased--having a private entrance is great!
Kai and Jedd had super cozy and very clean space. Super comfy bed, room decorated nicely and convenient to subway. They were very helpful with places we should go and how to get there. We would definitely stay there again! Thanks so much guys!
Kai and Jedd's place was fantastic! Everything promised in the listing, and they are very well prepared hosts. I can't hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a charming and affordable place to stay while in New York.
Thank you for having us in your house. We felt welcome (comfortable kitchen, clean apartment) and we really liked the fact that it was close to the metro.
Kai and Jedd are wonderful hosts! It was our first time in NY and our experience could not be better. The room is fantastic and you'll feel like in your home. The neighborhood is also awesome. Amazing place! We want to back as soon as we can. Thank u, guys!
This was my first time renting a room within and shared space and Kai and Jedd's place was exactly what I was looking for. It was in the perfect location for me, and the room was incredibly comfortable and spacious. The apartment is kept very clean, nicely decorated, and feels just enough like a hotel (subtle details like wifi signs and furniture arrangement) to eliminate any feeling like you're intruding into someone's home.
They were gracious and easy hosts. I felt comfortable coming and going even after a late meeting, and I had no trouble using the immaculate shared bathroom. The temperature stayed comfortable, and I slept very well. I'll definitely stay here again if I have business in the neighborhood.
