Welcome to the Dollhouse! This artsy, unique 1 bedroom, 1 bath, full kitchen, is a mini art gallery! It is filled with "Charlevoix Artwork" by the owner who is a professional artist. Small, but mighty, it has everything you need including the perfect location! Only 1 block from: Lake Michigan, hiking trails, a public sand dune beach, the Wheel-Way paved bike trail AND, less than 2 miles from downtown Charlevoix! The Dollhouse is surrounded by nature, yet close to downtown shopping and festivals.

The space
The Dollhouse is 360 sq ft of comfortable delight! It is like a little beach house, designed to make maximum use out of the small space. Furniture cleverly defines the rooms. In the bathroom there is a stall shower instead of a tub. The bedroom has a comfortable queen sized bed. The living room area has an Italian leather love seat facing a 50" big screen TV that hangs on the wall, with movie channels. It swivels towards the bed if desired. The kitchen has a retro table with two chairs but the leaves fold out to accommodate four if you have day guests. If you are a foodie and love to cook, the full kitchen has a gas stove and all the cookware to put on a gourmet meal!

You will have full access to the whole cottage except the loft. That is for storage.

Other things to note
There are two wonderful outdoor sitting areas for you to enjoy. The stone patio is perfect for having coffee in the morning, enjoying the cool breeze tinkling through the chimes, waking up to the birds and enjoying the flowers. When the sun is high and the patio is sunny and hot, there are two hand painted retro metal chairs located under the tree out front, with a table, to enjoy a cool drink and maybe read a book.

Neighborhood highlights

North Pointe is a safe, quiet neighborhood. The area land juts out into Lake Michigan and includes the area of Mt McSauba Recreation Area, Mt McSauba Sand Dune Beach, Sunset Bird Trail, Hiking Trails, and the Charlevoix Township Preserve. The Whirl-Way paved bike trail that leads to Petoskey and Harbor Springs is half a mile away but you can jump on right in North Pointe. It has two nice turnarounds that end at the lake with benches for viewing pleasure. The neighborhood is wooded and has mostly year round homes. North Pointe is less than 2 miles from Downtown Charlevoix and is a perfect area to walk or ride a bike.

I’m a retired commercial artist. I ran my own design studio for 33 years doing print and web design. I am enjoying painting in my studio now. I painted all through the years too, selling my paintings and prints on my website. My husband, who is very handy, and I refurbished this little cottage that has been in his family since the early 1960’s. He laughs and always says “find a blank spot on anything and she’ll paint something on it!” We are a part of the Petunia family. Dale Boss was Jim’s father. I was with them when they came up with the idea and planned it around the kitchen table in 1982. I love Charlevoix and enjoy capturing images recording the history during my lifetime. I hope you enjoy your stay in our little piece of heaven!
