If you're wondering why we're not still at the top - the answer is easy - unfortunately we've been so booked up that we're less often appearing in people's searches for specific dates now - sadly for us (and lucky for other AirBNB hosts!) - this is simply a feature of how the AirBNB ranking system works. Hopefully our consistent five-star reviews speak for themselves and we'll have the chance to host you!

  • I've stayed at Al's place many times and its because its the best place downtown! I will always go to his place first and if its unavailable, I will hope and pray that he has something else to offer. He is the perfect host! He keeps a spotless clean place that is up to MY standards (which are very high) Its in a great location with a Ralph's, Starbucks and several restaurants around the corner or walking distance. This is my home away from home! I feel at peace when I stay there and can work and come home and relax. Al is the best!

  • Wonderful accommodations. Exceeded expectations. We only wish we could have spent more time there.

    March 2014
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to LA - in part because of the great location, new building & modern furnishings - but largely because of Al's first class orientation to customer service.
Al could not have been more helpful - repeatedly making immediate adjustments, quick responses or thoughtful suggestions to make our stay as convenient, comfortable & pleasant as possible.
Our one concern about using airbnb was not knowing what to expect from "amateur" hosts - but Al proved to be a far better host than the so-called professionals in the hospitality industry !

    March 2014
  • My husband and I had a spectacular time meeting with and staying at Al's apartment. It is literally the closest place to LA Live and it was "spotless", "security parking & building", "fob access to lobby and elevators", and Al was the "greatest host ever."

We parked our car and never drove it until we left to go home. We walked everywhere: Starbucks & Ralphs around the corner, Original Pantry diagonal from apt, EL Cholo 2 blocks away, The Farm, Kaysuya, Regal Cinemas at LA Live on same block.

Building is super secure with its own coffee bar lounge area, pool, jacuzzi, floor to ceiling windows in living room, washer/dryer...definitely an upscale and luxury high-rise.

Al was only a text away if we needed anything, but honestly the apt had everything that we needed but it was nice to know he was available and we did appreciate his hospitality.

  • Al was a great host. He showed us around the whole property, and was easy to reach throughout our stay. We were in town for work at the convention center and it was just a couple blocks and we were there. He accommodated our visitor parking and early check out. Would highly recommend.

  • Fantastic experience from beginning to end. My husband works for the Four Seasons Hotel so I have stayed at some top notch places. Al's place is fabulous. My friends and I were visiting downtown LA for a Zumba(R) fitness instructors conference at the Convention Center. Every place we needed to go to, whether the LA Live/Convention Center or the grocery store, was just a short walking distance of about 2-3 blocks. The unit was immaculate with all the essentials of a hotel and a few extra unexpected treats. The photos on the website are a true representation of what to expect. Five star accommodations with the comforts of home. After hours of fitness sessions, it was nice to be able to wash our clothes & prepare our meals. I am a strong advocate of staying at vacation rentals and have stayed at quite a few places. This place is the best that I have come across thus far. Thank you Al for being such an excellent host. I really appreciated your prompt and thorough responses. I feel that I was never left in limbo. My friends & I were very impressed and look forward to coming back again.

  • I was in town for three days for a business trip. My schedule was pretty specific so I was a little concerned about checking in/out. Al made the entire stay flawless. He met me on time and was accommodating to my scheduling needs. The unit was as prictured, clean, modern, comfortable and well stocked with all the necessary kitchen, bathroom, and guest amenities. Was even surprised with a well stocked fridge of water and sodas. The view from this unit on the 19th floor is exceptional. The building is new so it's amenities were also impressive - security, large pool area, gym, lobby/lounge, business services and secure parking structure - garage access from both Figueroa and Flower made the one-way streets in L.A. less challenging. Location was also a key attraction - 1/2 block to LA Live and Staples Center. Al was easily reachable for any questions I had. He was allways quick to reply to any of my Text questions. I would HIGHLY recomend this unit to a couple looking to get away or the single business traveler. Thanks Al for a very agreeable stay.

  • I feel like I'm repeating myself every time I write a review for Al, but it can't be said enough how incredible it is to stay at his place. Al is a ROCK STAR in my book. He is accomodating, professional and his place is clean and perfect in my book! It is my favorite place to stay downtown and I will always book with him first when looking for a place to stay. I walk to work everyday and I feel safe and its near everything that I need or want. Ralphs is right around the corner, so is Starbucks! This trip I walked a different direction one block and found a Subway and IHOP (who knew they were there after all the times I've stayed there) I will ALWAYS stay with AL when I go to downtown LA if he'll have me!

  • Al was truly a pleasure to work with. He's extremely responsive, detail oriented, and accommodating. I work in the Hotel business and my peers could learn a lot from him regarding hospitality. I highly recommend Al and the condo that we rented was exactly as it appeared in pictures on this website. The condo exceeded our expectations.

  • I've stayed at numerous Airbnb listings, but this was hands down the best experience to date! I live in Southern California but was spending the evening n Downtown LA to celebrate my birthday and didn't want to risk driving home. From the get-go, Al was communicative, polite and incredibly professional. Check-in was a breeze and he made sure to give us a detailed tour of the apartment and building amenities. He had even bought me a tin of chocolates for my birthday! The apartment itself is gorgeous with a view that needs to be seen to understand. It's absolutely perfect. I didn't want to leave the next day! I'm definitely going to be staying with Al next time I venture out to Downtown LA. The space and buildign are sleek, modern, and welcoming. Al himself clearly takes pride in hosting, and it is the icing on the cake. Stop reading this and just book this property right now. It really doesn't get much better than this!

About
I love Los Angeles! I've been living here for over 15 years and also working in Downtown LA for 8 years. It has been a yearly thing wherein I have a lot of guests coming over to see LA. From cousins, friends, schoolmates and co-workers from pasts. Everyone I know, knows that if they are visiting, I am the one to call if they want to see LA. :) We aim to give a hassle-free, comfortable and relaxed stay for our guests. I think that is one of the secret why we are consistently getting 5 STAR REVIEWS (over 200+ to date) from ALL our previous guests. Recently, I have been corresponding with one of our guest and she summed up what we try to be to our guests: "Thanks so much. I'm so glad that our client in LA recommended using airbnb for our lodging needs. It feels very much like having a family member or friend in LA helping us make arrangements - so much more personal than booking a random hotel room." -Brandi So if you are thinking of visiting Los Angeles, please give us a chance to host you. I promise that we will try to do our best give you a hassle-free, comfortable and relaxed stay. And if you want, we can also be that family member (or a friend) who would look out for you when you are in town.
