Experience living in a traditional stone house only steps away from the beach. Home cooking and fresh drinks from my kitchen next door. Enjoy the beautiful view, great atmosphere, and local life in our hidden garden!
There are three separate suites in a traditionally built stone house. This suite has a bedroom, a living room that can sleep two additional people, a bathroom, a kitchen, and a porch. The second suite is also available for rental. In total, up to eight people can stay in the two suites. The third suite is in use for serving delicious home cooking and drinks.
The house is 5 minutes walk to the beach, restaurants, market, public transport station. Sight seeing, snorkeling, water sports, trekking, exploring, and fishing are some of the things you can do, or you can just relax! We have wi-fi and free parking.
I will be serving food and drinks for the friends and visitors who come to share our beautiful garden, and this would give a great chance for people to come together from all over the world. I am fluent both in English and Turkish, and I am a great host with sense of humor.
Gumusluk is one of the quiet areas in the Bodrum Peninsula. It is less crowded and more local. Our homes are situated on the grounds of an ancient city known as Myndos. Therefore Gumusluk is protected against developments. The villagers are some of the friendliest people you have ever met. So if you are ready for less touristic more local experiences, our place is just perfect for you!
SEND ME A MESAGE FOR LONG TERM STAYS IN AUTUMN AND WINTER. WE HAVE GREAT DEALS!
We love our homes and we hope you love and care like us!
Ayfer was a very friendly helpful host, despite us making some difficulties for her over troubles with our arrival times. The house is very well situated with a great view and clean and comfortable in a traditional Turkish style. Everyone had a good time.
Ayfer is one of the best hosts I have ever experienced, very helpful, relaxed and friendly. Her apartment is a little oasis with a garden that overlooks the sea and village. Gumusluck is itself is absolutely fantastic. This is a type of place where you can experience the way of life as a local. Definitely off the beaten track. Thanks for all once again, we loved every minute of our stay..
Ayfer is absolutely lovely! We had a wonderful holiday! It's a quiet neighbourhood, a five-minute walk from the sea front with beautiful views over the bay. The garden is shared with Ayfer and her three lovely children which created a great atmosphere but didn't interfere with us having our own space when we wanted it. Ayfer is also a fantastic cook (she made us a delicious meal one night) and it was great to be able to buy beer from her bar whenever we wanted! She was incredibly helpful advising us on transport from/to airport and recommending places to see, walks to go on and restaurants to try out. We had a particularly lovely meal at the Limone restaurant which had amazing views at sunset. The apartment was clean and cool at night. We would love to go back again soon!
We had the most amazing holiday in Gümüşlük thanks to Ayfer and her lovely family! Ayfer is the best hostess and made us feel immediately comfortable and at home. The apartment was simple - as we had expected - but with all the amenities one could ask for. It was very clean, and cool in the warm weather, and the view alone is enough to keep us coming back for more.
Ayfer was hospitable and looked after us for the whole 10 days we were there; recommending places to go, advising on good restaurants and shops, and best of all, supplying us with her amazing cooking on more then one accession, which was the highlight of our trip; traditional Turkish food, cooked, presented and served better than any restaurant you'll find on the waterfront!
Gümüşlük as a town is as picturesque and idyllic as the postcards show. It's also very quiet and relaxing, and without the overwhelming hustle and bustle of many of the other local towns and cities. The people are friendly and welcoming and the restaurants are good and well priced... although we'd recommend exploring a little further down either end of the beaches, away from the main harbour, to find real quality.
We hired a car, which was helpful but not imperative. There are many things to do within walking distance or by boat, and the local Dolmuş (buses) run like clockwork. We found this a much cheaper and easier mode of transport in the end.
We'll definitely be visiting Gümüşlük again and can't thank Ayfer enough for her hospitality. Needless to say we'd recommend this place to anyone, regardless of their tastes, as there's something for everyone to enjoy here!
We had wonderful days at this lyric place with the really great view over the sea and with Ayfer as a great and engaged host.
We would like to come back and enjoy another time this familiy atmosphere.
This is a place I hope to come back to! Of all the places I've stayed on Airbnb, this is the loveliest. Gumusluk is a beautiful little town, not over developed like some of its neighbors due to the rich archeological history of the place. With a view of the sea, the kindest, most welcoming host I've ever had and great weather even in November, I'm certainly planning to recommend Ayfer's property to friends and family for years to come.

This is Ayfer, mother of 3 and a tour guide. I did guiding in İstanbul till I decided to become a professional mother:)) Now I live in a quite town Gumusluk and spending most of my time with my family. I love travelling, my favorite destination is Berlin and I have mostly been around all Europe. Hoping to go usa, latin america next.. I like Tom Robbins, Elif shafak and like reading all the holly books. Big Fish and The Fall are my favorites but I like watching movies anyhow. Cirque du Soleil is the show that I want to watch live! I like jazz but I also enjoy all sorts of music like traditional musics all over the world. And I enjoy cooking as much as I enjoy tasting different dishes. Having people around the world staying in our houses is a great joy for me and a great chance to exchange ideas, informations and another way of making hall world come together. My travelling idea is to go with the locals and experience the real life not the touristic part. If you think the same we are ready to welcome you in our homes as our friends:)
