Experience living in a traditional stone house only steps away from the beach. Home cooking and fresh drinks from my kitchen next door. Enjoy the beautiful view, great atmosphere, and local life in our hidden garden!
There are three separate suites in a traditionally built stone house. This suite has a bedroom, a living room that can sleep two additional people, a bathroom, a kitchen, and a porch. The second suite is also available for rental. In total, up to eight people can stay in the two suites. The third suite is in use for serving delicious home cooking and drinks.
The house is 5 minutes walk to the beach, restaurants, market, public transport station. Sight seeing, snorkeling, water sports, trekking, exploring, and fishing are some of the things you can do, or you can just relax! We have wi-fi and free parking.
I will be serving food and drinks for the friends and visitors who come to share our beautiful garden, and this would give a great chance for people to come together from all over the world. I am fluent both in English and Turkish, and I am a great host with sense of humor.
Gumusluk is one of the quiet areas in the Bodrum Peninsula. It is less crowded and more local. Our homes are situated on the grounds of an ancient city known as Myndos. Therefore Gumusluk is protected against developments. The villagers are some of the friendliest people you have ever met. So if you are ready for less touristic more local experiences, our place is just perfect for you!
SEND ME A MESAGE FOR LONG TERM STAYS IN AUTUMN AND WINTER. WE HAVE GREAT DEALS!
This is a place I hope to come back to! Of all the places I've stayed on Airbnb, this is the loveliest. Gumusluk is a beautiful little town, not over developed like some of its neighbors due to the rich archeological history of the place. With a view of the sea, the kindest, most welcoming host I've ever had and great weather even in November, I'm certainly planning to recommend Ayfer's property to friends and family for years to come.
This apartment is perfect! The view off the back balcony is amazing, we really enjoyed cooking at home and eating watching the sunset. The kitchen is cozy and well equipped, and everything was very clean when we arrived. The town of Gumusluk is beautiful, with a great beach and delicious fish restaurants. It's a great place to relax and enjoy being by the ocean.
Ayfer and her husband were perfect hosts, they even picked us up in Bodrum and helped to coordinate our departure ferry.
Beautiful little cottage in a lovely town. Ayfer the host is helpful and was quick to respond to a last minute booking. The front bedroom in one of the houses is quite close to the road, which is ok with the windows closed but can be loud if it's hot and the windows need to be opened. Our patio was upstairs and overlooked the ocean- lovely. The walk down to the each is easy, and there are plenty of options for good food.
Ayfer's property is in a super location with amenities nearby and with great views. She is very keen to meet her guest's needs and we recommend her highly. She is an excellent host and exceeded our expectations. Gemuselik is an attractive village and is highly recommended if you do not want somewhere as busy as Bodrum itself . It is close enough to major transport routes which enabled us to explore other parts of Turkey easily. Ayfer could'nt have been more helpful.
This place is the best! Ayfer is great, so helpful and kind and her place is beautifully located with a million dollar view at the bay. Both day and night the garden is a treat; for sunbathing, bbq, or just staring at the boats and wonder how you will ever have another holiday that has it all. It is easy to explore the neighborhood by food, you walk to the beach. At the beack clubs you can enjoy the facilities of a sunbed, cold drinks etc, or go to the more quiet area and bring your own blanket and food. The dolmus ( public transport bus that you hop on/off) takes you anywhere you cannot go by foot; to go visit other places ( but Gumusluk is the best place so why leave) or to go grocery shopping, the market at Turgutrreis or to go to another beach. We felt very welcome and at home. We love the Turks and Ayfer in particular! I can definitely recommend a stay and we hope to come back one day.
Though we were not completely sure about this charming place at our arrival (due to the minimalism of the facilities... from a North American point of view ;-)), we were more than pleasantly surprised in the following days. The location is amazing, the view splendid and Ayfer is the most kind and generous host one could imagine!
Ayfer and Serdar were amazing hosts - so welcoming and friendly. Lot's of helpful advice too.
The places was great - it has a rustic feel which we loved - plus - amazing views! We got the bbq going on a few nights and bbq'd fish from the local fish market.
There are some great restaurants down on the dock about a 2 minute walk from the house. Also some local small convenience shops which we did all our shopping from and they had pretty much everything we needed for our stay (3 mins walk).
Overall - a great place to stay with great hosts.
