  • I spent 4 months at the Eric's apartment. Great place and location. Eric was always available for anythings, a very good guy and super-friendly! I definitely recommend anyone to stay in Eric's place!

  • I put my father in-law in this apartment for a few days and it was perfect. Great location, nicely furnished and had everything he needed. I would recommend this apartment to others who want to stay in a great SF neighborhood.

  • After the reservation I'd made with another airbnb host 4 months before my arrival had been canceled soon before i was to be in SF, I was frustrated by quite a few dead end attempts at finding housing for my longish stop in the city for work.
But Eric responded quickly and quoted an attractive rate. I was to work in SF for 7 weeks, and I was able to move in to the apt after staying with friends for a few days.

I had initially decided against this place because of the lack of laundry facilities in the apartment and building, and also because of reviews mentioning street noise. I'm very glad I reconsidered!

The building is, from the outside, probably the least attractive in that block, but upon entering the entrance hall one starts to take in the old SF charm with the meandering staircases.
The attic apartment (email hidden) to have as home base in an inspiring city! From the kitchen you can see the transamerica tower, from the bedroom, twin peeks, etc.
One friend said it reminded her of being in Paris.

The apartment has all the basics needed for a comfortable stay.
I was able to entertain guests, even a dinner party for 5 of us one evening.
The street sounds were quite muffled and I learned that new windows had recently been installed, so no problem with traffic noise!

The laundry I used is on Hayes St. at Webster, just 2 blocks away and it is very clean and well maintained.....even good magazines!....so not so bad to hafta get out and do the wash.

The location is fairly central and I walked an easy mile to work every day, and often to the haight, castro, japan town, downtown. And for going farther, there are many muni routes close by, and even zip car rental a block away.

Groceries available within a reasonable walking distance too.

Eric and his partner are very nice people, communication was clear and easy. They even left me a christmas gift of sweets, as my stay was through the winter holiday season.

    A really terrific stay.
I hope to be a guest here on my next visit to san francisco.

  • The place is located in a pretty central area, is very clean, and is very swanky. I don't have anything but good things to say about it. A+++ would stay agin.

BTW, if you like coffee you should walk the five blocks down Fell st to Blue Bottle. Their drip coffee is really excellent.

  • I found myself working last minute out of San Francisco for a week and Eric's apartment was just so perfect....a great historic neighborhood near a beautiful park and The Painted Ladies just a short block away! Close walk to restaurants and an organic grocery store. Nicely decorated, quiet, safe, clean.

Eric was helpful and quick to respond to all my questions, I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to SF.
