Interaction with Guests
It is our vacation villa. So we wont be there when you will. Our hostess will welcome you.
The villa is situated near the pretty village of Granace in the hamlet of Forconcello. From the garden you will have a beautiful view over parts of the village.
East of the villa is the city of Sartene of which you are only a 10 minutes drive away. It offers all services and amenities, including tourism: its old town and Genoese citadel having been referred to as the most Corsican of Corsican towns by renowned french author Prosper Mérimée. West, the picturesque village of St Lucie de Tallano (olive oil mill, old Franciscan convent ...) is the entry point into the Alta Rocca area, hiking trails (Mare a Mare), the town of Levie, the GR20, swimming opportunities in some of the last wild rivers and natural basins of Europe, all the way up to Zonza with the famous Bavella Needles (Unesco heritage), the forest of Ospedale and then down further onto the Oriental side you will reach the town of Porto Vecchio. The Propriano harbour and beaches are 25mn drive away from the house. In short, you have the choice! Either wilde coves to wider expanses of sand.
With 15 more minutes you are in reach of the magical beaches of Campomoro or Rocapina, and within a 1hour-journey is the unavoidable citadel of Bonifacio, or prehistoric sites such as Filitosa, Cauria, Cucuruzzu etc...

The house logded our group of 8 people comfortably, also thanks to a 2nd shower at the terrace next to the pool (free-standing solar shower). We found the house to be surprisingly well-equipped (great kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, barbeque, etc). For us the best part was the terrace which we used as living room, with a great view over Porticcio and the Golf of Valinco.
The house is located in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by the forest (maquis). If you are looking for direct access to convenient infrastructure, this house is not for you (still, the next city Sartene and, a little farther, the beaches and the mountains are within reach). As we were more interested in enjoying the island's nature, the location was perfect for us. In any case, we found the house and especially the terrace so nice that it was tempting to just stay there.
Olivier and Yasmin were very helpful. The house is in a beautiful setting. It did sleep seven but the second bedroom could have had a more comfortable bed.
Sartene is much more than a five minute drive -at least 20 minutes. The glassed terrace is a beautiful space and there is plenty of room to laze by the pool. The beach at propriano was lovely but again I would say a much longer drive than described.
The price wifh airbnb, after your reservation, is becoming "all inclusive". In second bedroom, the second bed comes as an extra( lits gigogne), so we can storage it under the other and it's normal that there 's not bed head. The house is for 6 to 8 peoples maxi.
The bedding was new two years ago, so l'll see that when l'll go to Corsica and buy others if necessary.
