  • Great hosts, people, and atmosphere.

  • I enjoyed meeting lots of other folks who were staying at Feras, Sophie and Roxane's place. It was easy to find and things felt laid-back and friendly.

  • The hosts were very friendly, as were the other guests staying at the hostel. The location is pretty good - an easy walk to the J line, and I didn't feel unsafe in the evening.

As others have mentioned, the photos definitely do not reflect the current state of the rooms - they are much dirtier. The downsides to my one night stay included very loud drunken guests waking everyone up in the middle of the night, a car alarm that went off for an hour right outside the window, no toilet paper in the bathroom upstairs, and vomit in the sink in the bathroom downstairs.

I would recommend this place to anyone who doesn't mind the typical troubles of a hostel: noisy, dirty, and cramped.

  • Everything was what I expected. It was more or less like staying in a hostel. And the hosts were friendly and helpful.

  • Loved it! When sleeping on the train seemed like an option, This room accommodated my stay very quickly at the last minute. The other tenants were positively friendly and taught me to speak Russian. Cable, Games, Wifii and great conversation make this room a home away from home. I'd even rent out a room for the weekend with a 6 pack of beer just to hang out!

  • I was looking to spend as little money as possible to stay in NYC, in a place that was clean and safe, and I got that and more. Yes, the hallways were narrow, but a bunkbed is a bunkbed. My roommates were sweet and funny, which made traveling alone much more enjoyable. The hosts were friendly and helpful. The shower was great. It was a 10 minute walk to the subway and I got to a Times Square subway stop within 45 minutes of leaving the house (Including 2 transfers.) I parked on the street with no trouble. All in all, this was exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for the great visit! I'll be back.

  • These guys are great. This was my second time staying with them and they were able to accommodate me at the last minute.

  • I booked a stay for my friends. They greeted them with respect. They worried about when they arrive and kept me posted about my friends will being.
Even though, this stay might be a bit challenge due to a "special guest". They treated him respect.

  • It was my first airbnb experience and it can't be better. House is located next to subway and grocery. Everyone was friendly and helpful. If I'll be in NY again I'll stay here again!
