My parents live in the main house and we live next door, but we will probably not see each other much. My mom works full-time and my dad is retired, he is the person that will be meeting you for the checking in and out. I work regualr office hours and my husband works the graveyard shift. We are also busy with two beautiful girls that take up our free time. We will be glad to give you suggestions for places to visit and eat. As you can read from the reviews we are fast in replying to messages either on Airbnb, text messages or WhatsApp.
The neighborhood is very quiet and safe. We have lived here all of our lives. It's very central and that's why we love it.
Parking is included in front of the main home. Bus stop is one block away, which will take you to the Metrorail station. You can also walk a couple blocks to Coral Way which offers a free trolley on most weekdays and weekends. Check the Miami Dade transit website for more information and schedule.
The studio is just like in the picture, it is a simple but very clean place.
I only stayed for one night and chose the location for its proximity with the airport. Did not regret my decision.
Gloria is a nice host and answers quickly any questions
Totally recommend it!
I had some problems with the address, the email I got from AIRBNB did not contain the complete address, so I had a hard time locating the place. So I recommend that before you go, you do not make the same mistake I made and double check the address with the owner!
We stayed 2 nights in her very nice Appartement. We has everything and it was a really nice place.
Gloria provided me with a great first experiences on Airbnb. Her place was very quaint, comfortable, and clean. A great deal that is close to the beaches and main attractions of Miami.
This stay was adequate and met my needs. The room was clean and comfortable. However, I told host that I was coming to town for my dissertation defense and was seeking a quiet place to prepare. Much to my chagrin, I woke up to a lot of noise resulting from loud hammering to the outside of the wall of the room I was staying in that continued until I left. The workers were on a ladder in front of the window of my room and talking loudly. It was the window where the air conditioner was, Therefore, there was no curtain for privacy. I had to use the small bathroom to get dressed. I was not able to prepare my presentation in a relaxing environment as hoped. The photo of the outside of the house is deceiving and makes the house look much nicer than the house actually looks. I think the owners are undergoing renovations. Also, the bedding is not the same as in the photo. It's not a huge deal, but the bedding was of poor polyester quality and should be upgraded. All in all, it was very easy to reserve, the hostess was responsive by email (after several days of initial contact), check in was easy, and the room had all the basic necessities.
The studio is a great value.
You have a fridge, microwave, and sink for quick meal warm-ups. The cupboards were fully stocked.
You have a dedicated parking spot and private entrance.
The table has leaves, should you need more surface area. The couch was comfy.
The bed was not the most comfortable in the world - its fairly soft.
The toilet is very sensitive -- you can't flush toilet paper down and we typically had to flush twice to get the bowl to fully empty.
The studio is not very well ventilated which made it feel/smell a bit musty.
There is no natural light... that's the biggest draw back. Installing a window would be nice.
Overall: A great place to stay for a few days. It's not a luxury rental, but it sure beats staying at a budget motel for the price. I would stay again!
This is the first time that I use AirBnB and the experience was great. Although I never met Gloria face to face she really made us feel welcome. We had all of the things that we need, even more than the room hotel that we had in Orlando.
The location is great and the neighborhood was very quite. Everytime that we had a need or question Gloria reply very quick.
The room was big enough for my girlfriend and I, the fridge was the best in order to buy food and water, the microwave to cook frozen meals, the coffee make to wake up in the morning, the bed was comfortable and we slept like a log.
The other thing was that we had space to park the car in the driveway, which saves you money.
Thanks so much for the hospitality and the amenities!
The place was clean. Having water in the refrigerator was good, and coffee was available. The pictures show a hotplate, but none was there. Since I was there in March, the weather wasn't hot yet, but the AC left a lot of humidity in the room and was loud enough to make hearing the TV difficult, but it did not interfere with sleeping. There's a futon, also not pictured, in the room, making moving around more problematic. I had to stand on it to reach the AC and fell off the futon, injuring my tailbone. Luckily the rubber trashcan stopped my speedy slide across the floor. The oddest thing was the note not to "throw paper in the toilet." Does Miami not have a sewer system to handle toilet paper?? So I dutifully put it in the plastic bag by the toilet.
The studio apartment is clean, private and close to downtown Miami. The only drawback was the toilet situation. It clogged easily. We did however find that holding down the handle for a complete flush resolved the problem once the clog was cleared with a plunger.
Great host, easy check in/out very convenient would recommend. Centrally located to airport and SoBe.
It's a great place to stay for a few days with low budget. Most important: the room was clean and situated in a quiet neighbourhood, not far away from Miami City. Only negative thing: the air condition is a bit loud, but you can switch it off at night. Another plus: you can use Glorias' WLAN for free. Thanks for that suprise! I would recommend this place to others any time.
