My parents live in the main house and we live next door, but we will probably not see each other much. My mom works full-time and my dad is retired, he is the person that will be meeting you for the checking in and out. I work regular office hours and my husband works the graveyard shift. We are also busy with two beautiful girls that take up our free time. We will be glad to give you suggestions for places to visit and eat. As you can read from the reviews we are fast in replying to messages either on Airbnb, text messages or WhatsApp.
Shenandoah is a beautiful, historically-rich neighborhood located just south of Little Havana and west of Downtown Miami. The neighborhood roughly spans from SW 8th Street (Calle Ocho) to the north to Coral Way to the south, between SW 27th Avenue and SW 12th Avenue. The neighborhood is made up almost entirely of historic single-family homes and duplexes. Aside from the (surprisingly) well maintained historic homes in the neighborhood, the neighborhood is also conveniently located between two major commercial centers- Miracle Mile and Downtown/Brickell. Shenandoah has gone through immense changes throughout its history, quickly changing demographics in the mid 20th century. It was around this time that the newly arrived Cubans began replacing the non-Hispanic White population, who moved to points north and south of here. The southern area of Shenandoah has still retained a small Greek community, evident in the Greek restaurants and church in the area. The neighborhood is safe and walkable. Despite being in the center of the city, is very quiet and peaceful. Walking around Shenandoah you’ll notice a lot of historic architectural gems. Some of my favorite buildings in the neighborhood are the Shenandoah Middle School, with its Neo-Classical façade and the Saints Peter and Paul Orthodox Church, originally built in 1927 as the mansion of Miami’s first mayor, John Bernard Reilly. Then there’s also the eclectic mix of architectural styles in the homes in Shenandoah- Bungalow, Miami Pioneer, Neo-Classical, Mission and Modern. The neighborhood also has a strong feeling of community. The public schools, parks and library in the neighborhood are easily walkable from the homes in the area. Walking around really is pleasant. My favorite park in the neighborhood, and quite possibly one of Miami’s most monumentally rich parks, is the “Cuban Memorial Boulevard Park” located along SW 13th Avenue from SW 8th Street (Calle Ocho) to Coral Way. The park passes through 17 city blocks, with each block featuring a monument, statue, flag or tree memorializing a moment of Cuba and/or Miami’s history. As you walk from Calle Ocho down to Coral Way along this shady park you’ll notice the subtle changes in the neighborhood. Don’t be surprised if someone sparks up a conversation along the way, people in Shenadoah are nice! (website hidden)
Parking is included in front of the main home. Bus stop is one block away, which will take you to the Metrorail station. You can also walk a couple blocks to Coral Way which offers a free trolley on most weekdays and weekends. Check the Miami Dade transit website for more information and schedule.

The description was accurate. I really enjoyed my stay there. It had all I needed. The bed was comfortable and the shower was nice. Very clean studio. She provided us with some soap and clean towels, which was very nice. They seem very professional in their renting. It also had a small kitchenette which we didn't make us of it because we were out most of or time. She let us park the car inside and it felt very safe. I had my car with me, south beach was very close and since i had been in miami before it was easy for me to move around. I will def stay again with her whenever I'm back in town. Also i wanted to extend my stay, but she had it booked already and she was very willing to accommodate me in her other places ( but I ended up leaving to continue my road trip). once again, thank you for everything!
The appartment was alright, except the wifi didn't work we said it but no results.. The last day we could stay till 17oclock that was very nice!
My experience with staying at Gloria's was bittersweet. I must first say the accommodations themselves were near perfect and the host were very nice but I will never book there again.
After a quiet and peaceful trip on the morning I was due to leave I awoke to sight of two broken car windows. My wallet that had been hidden in my dash compartment was stolen. While this is not the host fault in any way after filling a police report and talking to various people I was told that this wasn't the safest neighborhood and after informing the host of the incident their nonchalant response only cemented the fact that this was not something out of ordinary in this neighborhood.
So I understand crime happens everywhere I think it'd be best if they'd at least let renters park inside the gate.
That being said five stars for actual accommodations but if you care about safety I would think twice about the area.
We are very sorry that your car was broken into.Guests are welcome to park in the grassy area outside the studio. We actually live in that house and have never had our cars broken into . We never leave valuables in the car though.. I definitely recommend that valuables not be left in a car in any neighborhood as there are definitely people in all neighborhoods in the world that would take valuables they may see inside a car, especially wallets. Again we are sorry that happened to you, but our neighborhood is safe and we have lived here over 40 years.Again we thank you for staying at our place, you were a very clean, quiet and respectful guest.
Alles war super. Sehr bemühte Gastgeberin. Check in und Check out sehr unkompliziert.
It is a nice and cozy place...and cheepest what i find in this Miami area. Place was clean and Gloria is excellent in comunication. If I come back to Florida, i will come back here.

Hi, we are two working professionals, I'm a LPN and work in Hospice and my husband Eurys is an psychiatric RN. We are both long time residents of Miami. We will be glad to give you suggestions for restaurants and fun things you can do around town. I recommend you download a couple of apps that will be useful. Waze for traffic, it gives you real time information on traffic and accidents, updated in real-time by users. Yelp for local restaurants. Also if you are an international traveler and you want to text us, WhatsApp is great for texting. If you will be using public transportation, familiarize yourself with routes on the Miami Dade Transit Website. Lyft and Uber are now in Miami! Use code EURYS2 when you download app to get free ride credit on Lyft (credit varies). If you need CAR RENTAL, look at relay rides website. If you choose to stay at one of our locations, you will get a good value for your money. We offer clean and very centrally located listings for a fraction of the cost of a hotel in the same area. However if you are looking for a luxury, this is not the place. We offer basic lodging for the money conscious traveler. Let us know your time of arrival time and we will definitely try our best to meet you there but we offer self-check in at most of the listings. If we are unable to meet you there we will give you detailed instructions and always are available via the messenger. I recommend every airbnb guest to read the full description of the listing and the reviews so you know what to expect and to make sure that the listing will meet your needs.
