Queen sized bed in historic farmhouse in the heart of Vermont with gorgeous views of fields and forest. One of three bedrooms available to guests, enjoy quiet privacy in your room or join us on the porch, kitchen or by the living room fire.

The space
One of three bedrooms in an old farmhouse with two shared bathrooms await you when you drive up the road to our home in Vermont The property has been in our family since the late 1700's. The house was built in 1840 and still reflects much of that heritage.

Drive up and park by the barn. Walk across the porch and be welcomed into our home. As bed and breakfast guests you are now a part of our family. We are eager to make you feel right at home.

Each of the large bedrooms contains either a queen or full-sized bed with cotton sheets and feather pillows. You will be invited to join us on the porch or in front of the fire depending on the weather.

Guest access
Come onto the porch and I will show you around. Here is the kitchen where I will make breakfast for you. Then the living room with a roaring fire in cold months. Two shared bathrooms and a music room. Outdoors you will find paths through the fields and forest leading to a waterfall.

Other things to note
Close by you will find: King Arthur Flour offers baking classes. Celie Fago offers courses in silver clay jewelry making. Bob White Systems offers assistance in starting your own micro-dairy. The Vermont Law School is the top Environmental law school in the country.

As your hosts, we love to meet new people from all over the world. We have traveled to Italy and a few other countries in Europe. We have also traveled to Panama and Canada. Evelyn sells her homemade pies and quiches at local farmers markets each week. Her quiches are regularly available for breakfast. She also sells jams, jellies, pickles and relishes which may also be available for tasting upon request. She also substitute teaches at local area schools. Evelyn grew up in Vermont. The B&B is on the farm where her family has lived since the town was founded in the late 1700's. We have lived on both coasts as well as several years in Costa Rica,. We look forward to meeting you and hearing about your travels. Se habla espanol.

During your stay
I love greeting and chatting with guests. Please let me know if you would like to know about the history of the place, where to shop for antiques or where the nearest ski areas are.

If you prefer more privacy, or less contact, just let me know.

Usually I will serve you breakfast family style with everyone in the house at the same table. If you prefer to eat alone, just let me know. I want your stay to be just they way you envision it. Breakfast is served according to your schedule whether early bird or late sleeper.

At times I may need to be away or leave early in the morning. In this case, breakfast will be self-serve but will still consist of a delicious breakfast with hot, homemade food, coffee or tea and seasonal fruits and juices.
