  • The home, rooms, and property were quaint and as clean as one would expect from a country home where a hundred pies and quiches were being baked for the weekend farmers markets. The hostess prepared 'self-serve' style breakfast for us because she wasn't around much during the weekend but at the aforementioned markets. It felt somewhere between a B&B and crashing at a relative's house, but all in all a pleasant experience on a lovely piece of property.

  • My friends and I were welcomed into our host's lovely farmhouse in snowy Vermont. From the cozy living room with an always burning wood fireplace to the amazing breakfast each morning, we were beyond spoiled. The icing on the cake was how warm and friendly our host was. She let us extended our trip a night when we were burnt out from skiing and having too much fun. She also had an amazing selection of homemade jams and pickles that we all promptly bought and ate on the way home. Before we left, we were all ready planning a trip back in the spring. Thank you again for an amazing weekend filled with fun, skiing, friendly locals and of course JAMS!

  • We had a wonderful time in this beautiful, historic home. Evelyn was absolutely wonderful - accomodated my party of four on literally a moment's notice (she replied to my same-day request within 10 minutes!). The house has been in her family for generations, and the rooms were lovely. We especially loved the hammock swings on the front porch, looking out at flowers, a verdant lawn, and green hills. The only thing that kept this from being a totally idyllic retreat was a bit of road noise from a nearby road - but I'm extra-sensitive to these things.
Evelyn made knock-out delicious pancakes for us the next day - wow! I don't even like pancakes usually, but these were light and irresistible with Vermont maple syrup. A garrulous and friendly hostess, Evelyn made us feel part of the family at breakfast, made sure that we had all the info we needed about surrounding attractions, and told us about the recent town history. Her daughters were delightful to chat with as well.
