English to follow.. reveillez dans une 3.5 dans le vrai coeur du Montréal, le Plateau. Près du boulevard St-Laurent ou 'The Main', rue St-Denis, avenue Mont-Royal et Parc Mont-Royal. Rest assured you'll have a great stay in this cozy one bedroom in the heart of the Plateau.
Bienvenue à Montréal! If you are looking to live like a Quebec local, the Plateau is the place to do it!
Please read on about parking - Open concept available daily or weekly with CAD pricing base cost plus $25 cleaning. A third guest is $25 per night on 8-foot sofa or single air mattress. Linen, cooking essentials and toiletries provided.
The condo-style unit is directly off boulevard St-Laurent ("The Main") and perfect for 1 person or a couple. It's surrounded by 1) the retro shops of avenue Mont-Royal, 2) the delicious smoked meat and bagels of St-Laurent , 3) the French cafes, shops and restos on rue St-Denis, and 4) the incredible Portugese bakeries and BBQ rotisseries off Marie-Anne and Rachel streets.
Parking is available evenings and weekends only. Depending on the duration of your stay, it can sometimes be made available if arranged well in advance. During business hours there are free spots around the building with non red tag zone residential parking, and in all the nearby streets (you won't need your car much). Mile-End is within walking distance, and tourist landmarks like Shwartz's Deli (smoked meat), Fairmount Bagels, Parc Lafontaine, and "the mountain" itself Parc Mont-Royal. Pharmacies, banks, groceries, bakeries, convenience stores all just steps outside your door, and once you settle in, you won't have to far to go for your needs.
The bedroom comes equipped with queen bed, your own closet and a faux fireplace. The bathroom has a standard bath and shower, a new vanity, washer/dryer units, iron and mini ironing board. The open kitchen and dining area have stainless steel appliances and a kitchen island and are fully equipped for cooking and dining for four. The living room has an HD flatscreen, Apple TV with Netflix, and about 5-6 TV stations. The 8 foot long sofa is super comfortable for a 3rd guest and a single airbed is also available (your choice, max 3 guests in this unit). You have all you need for cooking here, if you can resist the temptation to eat out at all of the amazing restaurants in the neighbourhood. You also have all linen and toiletries provided, and you don.t need to go out to worry about buying cooking essentials and condiments for a one night stay because these are provided to guests, and unlike many other Airbnb's that don't provide this, that's a big plus for a short visit!
PLEASE print out your house manual for instructions and passcodes, and have a (email hidden) for some great eateries, museums, etc! I provide full directions, metro maps, tourism brochures + take out menus. Let me know if there is anything else I can arrange for you in advance so I can make sure you have a comfy, enjoyable stay.

Interaction with Guests
I'm available anytime by cell, text or email notification, and I am happy to provide helpful tour guide tips and assist with special needs.
The Plateau is world famous. From Schwartz's Smoked Meat Deli to Fairmount Bagels to restaurants like Lawrence, The Tuck Shop and Au Pied de cochon, you have no shortage of fantastic eateries, cafés, and fine dining just steps away. Parc Mont-Royal (the mountain) is also down the street for a bike ride, hiking or sightseeing. Avenue Mont-Royal, half a block, is terrific for finding great vintage clothing, cafes and bakeries, and nearby rue St-Denis is bustling with boutiques and fun shopping. Only a block from the apartment are a bank, grocery and liquor stores, Portuguese bakeries and rotisserie chicken hotspots, nightckubs, convenience and clothing stores.
55 St-Laurent Bus (at Marie-Anne) arrives often, is close to the apartment, and takes you to Place des Arts downtown and to Old Montreal. I find it easier to take the bus downtown but the metro line back to Mont-Royal station as coming back home the bus gets trapped in traffic along (website hidden)-Laurent.
Mont-Royal Métro (orange line) is 7 short blocks east from the flat. Very walkable but with lots of luggage, grab the 11 Montagne or the 96 Mont-Royal bus to connect you when you exit the metro and get off three stops (email hidden)-Laurent in front of Your pharmacy, Pharmaprix. This is also the corner where your banks, grocery stores, the liquor store and other essential stores are (website hidden). Dominique is one street east, and you need to walk down south one block to Marie-Anne to arrive at the flat.
Other Things to Note
Parking is available evenings and weekends, with full weekends from Fri at 7pm to Mon at 7am. Please notify me of your estimated and exact time of arrival and departure schedule, and keep me constantly updated, as the prep schedule for the apartment will be based on your arrival time and cleaning / greeting services are on a paid schedule if my assistant is there to help out.
Although not 100% wheelchair accessible, there are only approx. 5 steps up to the apt door.
Check-in after 2pm, please arrange time / keys
Check-out before 11am, leave keys behind and lock door from inside, checking you have everything first.
Please read my house manual thoroughly: it's everything you need for your stay and contains your internet password. Check here for a great resto guide I've created of some of my fave eateries, shopping and touristy spots on the Island.
No smoking (but there is a back balcony outside), No parties, no loud noises (1 neighbour upstairs and 1 below) after 11pm
David is available on cell by text and email
Sorry, for safety and noise carrying, no children / pets / special events (3 things that I LOVE in life!)
Despite us being later than expected due to incredibly slow immigration queues at Montreal airport, David was very soon available to meet us. He explained all necessary details of the very spacious and well equipped apartment and surrounding neighbourhood.
David is a great host. I was arriving quite late, and he made accommodations for me to be able to check in even at such a late hour. His place was very clean and welcoming. There were lots of bars and restaurants in the area easy to access, and he had maps and guides at the apartment to help orient myself. At the end of the trip I forgot a pair of shorts, and he was kind enough to mail them back to me. A great host whom I would gladly stay with again.
David greeted us upon arrival and shortly explained the hows and whys of the apartment. He had even left some delicious pastries as a welcome gift. The apartment was very clean and very well equipped. There were not only every tools you might use, but also some basic necessities like butter, olive oil, jam, eggs, salt, coffee, spaghetti and lots of various spices. Everything was as described. At night you may hear some street noise (from traffic as well as from people), but if you keep the windows closed it is quiet.
When using the bus, be prepared to know the stops where to go off, as neither are the bus stops labeled, nor is there an overview of the stops displayed in the bus, nor do the bus drivers announce the stops (you can find maps and the list of the bus stops at (website hidden)). Very nice host, good experience.

About the Host, David
Bonjour et bienvenue! Je parle français aussi. A proud Montrealer for two decades, I love to show off our big-little island as much as I love travelling! I've worked at Airbnb itself, so I'm happy to provide you with tips as well.
I have a background in arts, culture and travel. I advocate for eco or econo-sharing, which is what sites like Airbnb are all about :) I try to be a consummate host and make your stay as comfortable as possible, and as a guest, I take really good care of others' Airbnb properties (in fact I help other hosts prep them!) . I enjoy exploring a new space and seeing a city through the eyes of locals.
