Interaction with Guests
Since there is a private entrance to this private cottage, with a combination lock on the door for guest convenience, so there is no need for interaction with the host if you do not desire. However, we do live in the main house so we do enjoy the interaction with our guests as much or as little as they would like. I have met many wonderful people and love the interchange with them.
Our neighborhood is quite charming, safe and has some of the best weather in San Francisco. It is also very convenient for retail shopping, eating, coffee houses, newsstand as well as convenient stores such as Walgreens and Whole Foods and a post office within just 2-5 blocks from the cottage.
It is very conveniently located just 1 block to a municipal bus stop that runs regularly all day and night. You can buy a muni card at Walgreens which is just two blocks away that you can use for the transportation system throughout the city. If you are renting a car, there is plenty of available street parking on the street the cottage is located.

We enjoyed Clipper Cottage a lot.
The cottage was clean, the bed was comfortable, the garden is lovely and Doug was really friendly and helpful.
The private enterance with a code is an advantage. We enjoyed the neighborhood and its local restaurants and bakery. Good, ambient location, with good connection to public transport.
When we visit San Fransisco in the future, we definitely come black to Doug's Clipper Cottage.
Clean, quiet, and comfortable. Stocked with every amenity that one can think of; so glad you had hair conditioner which I forgot! Thanks for the fruit.
We were welcomed to the quaint cottage by a tasty bowl of fruit! The room was equipped as described on the AirBNB website. The garden area was a relaxing retreat after our busy days! Doug is a great host!
Doug put fruit in the room..welcomed us by text and in person. ....no complaints at all.
Myself & my husband stayed at the Clipper Street Cottage for 5 nights at the end of June. The cottage was perfect for us & exactly how it has been described. We both loved the Noe Valley area & it wasn't a problem getting in & out of the city. Doug was a great host & always really quick at replying if I had any questions. I would have no hesitation in recommending his cottage as somewhere to stay if you're visiting San Francisco.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Clipper Street Cottage. Doug and his adorable dog Jefo were fantastic hosts. The cottage was cozy (bed is super comfy), clean, and well appointed with all the amenities one would need during their stay. The weather was good enough that I was even able to sit out on the backyard and take in some sun with Jefo before it set - such a peaceful setting. Doug was kind enough to provide fresh fruit upon my arrival which was a great extra. The pictures accurately depict the apartment. Loved the location - quiet area, adorable neighborhood, and within a short walk to the closest Muni. Would love to stay again - thanks Doug & Jefo!
The Clipper Street Cottage was perfect for my parents' stay in the neighborhood, just a few blocks from my place. They had everything they needed and said the bed was super comfortable. They enjoyed meeting and chatting with Doug. As a resident of the neighborhood, I can say this is a fantastic and quiet location with a very short walk to 24th Street with shopping, restaurants, etc. Thanks, Doug, for being a great host!
About the Host, Doug
My wife and I are empty nesters and love to travel, ski, bike, hike, cook, go to the movies, dine in San Francisco's great restaurants, and spend time in the Napa/Sonoma Valley wine country. Spending time with family and friends is the best and meeting new people is right up there as well. We feel so fortunate to live in the great city of San Francisco and look forward to sharing it with you.
