The room we have available can have one or two twin beds, depending on the number of guests. It has a sliding glass door out to a pretty little garden with a table and chairs. The bathroom is right outside the bedroom.
We charge a one-time cleaning fee of $25 per stay.
We have a washer and dryer in the house should you need to do some laundry.
Coffee and tea are always available to you as well as some breakfast rolls for the mornings.
Visitors to our home must like cats and dogs as one gentle Golden Retriever and two lazy cats are part of our family!
We would like to know a little about you before you arrive so please provide the full names of each person staying and why you are visiting our area.
We look forward to meeting you!

Quiet, cozy, clean, and comfortable! The nicely decorated single-bed room with sliding glass doors face into a lovely garden and is adjacent to a private bathroom. The accommodations, privacy, and coffee with scones in the morning were exactly what I needed. The location was very convenient for all I had to do and the bustling village of San Mateo Downtown was just about a mile away with amazing restaurants, cinema, and services for any traveler. Linda and Adam were kind and helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and look to come back in the future.
Linda is a very warm and friendly person.
The room is pretty small, and the bed seems more like a single.
i don't think Linda heats the house at all. It was cold all the time. There was a small heater in the room, but unless you were right next to it, the house was cold.
She has a dog and 2 cats. I love animals so it was fine, but the cats do tend to screech for long periods occasionally.
Linda and her husband watch a lot of TV, so there is that noise most of the night.
I was glad to have a roof over my head and the cost of staying there is very reasonable.
i did eat at home a lot, and apparently from her feedback that may be something she would prefer not to have to deal with.
I came to San Francisco for a conference and sent queries to about 5 hosts near the SFO airport. Linda said she was a 3 minute walk from the Airport Marriott.
I was thrilled. Ends up she is near the San Mateo Airport Marriott. So a lot of the places that i could have stayed were a lot closer. I ended up in heavy traffic each day.
I had a great stay at Linda's place. It was indeed a Quiet and cozy home.. Nice Parisian theme in the bedroom! The room opens up to the backyard, which brings in enough sunlight..
The place is easily commutable from an Mateo downtown. There's a Trader's Joe close by and other shops too!
Would certainly love to stay here again!
My room was very comfortable. My hosts were gracious and accommodating and willing to put up with my vague length of stay. This was my first experience with airbnb but won't be my last. Thanks.
The place was conveniently located and cozy. The hosts were kind and non-intrusive. I had a bathroom to myself which is always nice. I would stay here again.
They were very kind and nice hosts! And their pets were so cute,I had a relax time with them.
The room was nice and the private bathroom was very important for me.They always helped me when I was in trouble in new life in the U.S.. I great appreciate their help.
I would like to stay their house again some other time! I really recommend here.
A LIVELY home in a quiet neighborhood!
My boyfriend Joseph and I were lucky to find Linda's home this summer, and to stay there while Elizabeth, their daughter, was back home from college—they're both really sweet. While Adam, Linda's husband, has a real sweet knack for telling silly jokes. The family almost always has the T.V. on and you're welcome to watch with them—movies and baseball games to MasterChef (I addicted now!) Their friendly dog Oliver is also a willing volunteer to finish your dinners. Add on two skittish but cuddly (once they warm up to you) cats and you're guaranteed to have a real home away from home! I recommend this for individuals looking for a more welcoming and unpretentious place to stay while visiting the SF bay area :)
My daughter had a baby and I needed a place to stay with only one day's notice. I was so relieved to find this listing since it is very close to my daughter's house. It was my first time using Airbnb and I was Linda and Adam's first guest. They were extremely nice and welcoming, and they have the sweetest dog, Oliver who welcomed me too. You have to love animals to stay there because they also have 2 cats. My coffee was ready each morning, and a "continental" breakfast. I slept comfortably and had my own bathroom which was important to me. Linda and Adam were really gracious hosts and made me feel like a part of their family.
This is the final rate, including any fees from the host and Airbnb.
