  • My experience with Anja and her rental was great and I appreciate all the small touches taken, which made the experience all the better. She was very good at introducing me to the space, making sure I had everything I needed upon arrival, and even took the extra steps of making sure I had the basics for my first breakfast in town. The neighborhood is very quiet and out of the way, but central if you need to access nearby cities. While I was solo in town for business, their backyard would be very welcoming for more and would be great for a lounging couple. The space itself is very up to date and comfortably laid out. I'd recommend her to friends.

  • We had a wonderful stay at Anja's adorable little cottage. The place was very comfortable and quiet. There were so many nice little touches. It was so nice to have a few items in the fridge as well as coffee and tea for us. We love the neighborhood and really enjoyed serene walks in the morning. We only interacted a little bit with the hosts, but they were very kind and accomodating. The "pullout bed" was really too small for an adult, but we made it work. We'd love to stay here again when we're back in the area.

  • Was travelling on business and decided to try the airbnb site for a change. Couldn't be more happy with the overall experience. The cottage was impeccable and exactly as the photos portrayed. My host was incredibly thoughtful, leaving refreshments in the fridge upon my arrival. Also, an added touch was spare toothbrush, shaving gel and general toiletries for the weary traveller.
Would highly recommend Anja Stadelhofer as a host and her beautiful cottage.

  • This is one of the quietest neighborhoods on the Peninsula. For 10 days we stayed in this lovingly furnished cottage to visit family and friends in the Bay Area., We enjoyed the welcoming hospitality of our hosts, the full kitchen, the comfortable bed, and the clean and well-cared-for accommodation. We look forward to coming back again soon.

  • We stayed with Anja and Tim for 3 nights, she was excellent with her responses very thorough and considerate in the planning phases. Anja bought us bread, milk, orange juice, coffee, and cheese to stock the fridge which was very appreciated! The place is newly renovated and beautiful inside- it looks like an Ikea show room! They even lent us their bikes which was so convenient.

The location is interesting and unique- but very dimly lit in the evenings so not amenable to evening walks. There are many cultural and delicious restaurants nearby but don't expect to walk to a starbucks/safeway.

The location and suite worked for us as we spent most of our time visiting with family however, they were undergoing lots of renovations which made it difficult to sit out and enjoy the sun (there was lots of dust and working men around). Anja was very apologetic about the renovations and to be honest it didn't really affect our time there but may have if we spent more time at the airbnb.

    Response from Anja:

Thank you for your review, Kathryn! We are happy you enjoyed your time at our cottage and that we were able to help you out with our bicycles. Maybe next time your niece is old enough so she can ride with you :-)
The renovations were supposed to be done by the time you arrive and we are sorry you had to deal with some of the noise. Everything is done now so next time you come back, it will be very quiet.

  • My family very much enjoyed their week-long stay at Anja's cottage! Very clean, all amenities as described, with a friendly host. The quiet residential neighborhood was lovely for evening strolls, and every store we needed was just a short drive away. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks, Anja!

  • I had a great stay in Anja's cottage. The place is very well appointed, private, clean, comfortable and overall a pleasure to rent. Anja goes out of her way to make your stay comfortable, including leaving free Keurig coffee cups, stocking the place with home supplies and washing towels and sheets when/if need be. Also great is the included DirectTV and ultra-comfortable bed! Highly recommend.
