Everything worth seeing here - in our 3000 years old city - is within the reach and literally round the corner! Also, all that one needs for a stay in Zadar - "Best European Tourist Destination in 2016"- is available in our small but comfortable and cosy Studio! And whenever guests leave it and go to the street - they are fascinated with music, architecture, history...

The best part about this apartment is its location. Centrally located within the Old Zadar: walking distance to bars, restaurants, tourist attractions, swimming, shopping - AMAZING. The check-in process was a bit confusing for us. The apartment is accessed via alley off of Brace Vranjaniba, through a large gate off an interior courtyard, and up one flight of stairs, to an umarked door. Lena's friend Nika who met us inside the apartment was very helpful (especially since she waited around for us while we were lost trying to find the place) and spoke good English. The apartment has an average, everyday feel to it - small, just enough room for everything to fit, minimal furnishings, clean - not upscale by any means. The AC was a huge positive, especially since we traveled to Croatia during a heat wave. The biggest downside to this apartment for us was the very, very small shower. We drove a rental car to Zadar (fyi very easy driving via highways from Zagreb), and parked it in a large, easy to access public parking lot just outside of Perivoj Vladimira Nazora, off the road called Ravnice. Be warned that this lot does fill up on the weekends! Only about a 15 minute walk total - through the park (Perivoj Vladimira Nazora), through the Land Gate (Kopnena vrata), and along the main road Špire Brusine until turning onto Brace Vranjaniba.

We loved this little getaway in the heart of the old town of Zadar. The location is just brilliant! The apartment is small but has everything you will need. You will have plenty of time to see the old city if you stay for a couple days. A visit to the Plitvice lakes is also recommended! We would love to visit again!

An intellectual interested in art (especially film, paintings/drawings and literature), and good humour, of course. Cannot imagine the world without music, colours and sea.
I'm also willing to show our guests around the centre of Zadar in the period between July 15 and August 14 (of course, if the time is convenient for both guests and myself); Zadar (Diadora, Jadera... - different ancient names of the same town) is an ancient centre with numerous splendid and important historical and arhitectural spots that one must visit. It has recently been elected as the most attractive European tourist destination in 2016!
I'm also willing to arrange some lectures in Croatian language, precisely in the period between July 15 to August 14 (I have about 15 years of experience in teaching our language to foreign students).
My guests are regularly informed about cultural events that take place in Zadar during summer (concerts, theatre performances etc.). In Zadar concerts of classical music (Music Evenings in St. Donat), (open-air) rock-concerts, concerts of Dalmatian a capella singing groups ("klapa")... have been organized during summer months.
