The Giglio Suite is located on the third floor without lift of an historic building, Palazzo Gaddi, located in the San Lorenzo district, in the bright square of Madonna degli Aldobrandini where you can find the famous Medici Chapels. Duomo, Piazza della Signoria and the railway station are within a 3 minutes walk. The historical Mercato Centrale is just two blocks away.
The apartment (70 square meters) is a bright, spacious, comfortable flat. In this apartment there are two bedrooms: the first one, with a double size bed (or two single beds) overlooking the silent courtyard, and a big wardrobe; the second one, really spacious and bright, with a double size bed (or two single beds) and a pull out sofa bed, overlooking the majestic Medici Chapel and with a view of the Duomo and the Giotto’s Bell Tower.
Next to the second bedroom you can find the nice and modern bathroom with a shower (hairdryer available). In the living room there is a second double sofa bed and a square wooden table with design chairs; the white kitchen is fully equipped with oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, gas hob, dishwasher.
Through a nice wooden stairs you reach a little closet with a useful washing machine
The apartment is extremely quite and peaceful.

From 1 July 2011 the City of Florence by resolution of the City Council No. 230/33 of 06.20.2011, integrated by
resolution No. 21/2012, has established the “'tourist tax”.
The tax is applied to non-residents overnight stays in the city of Florence and for a maximum of 7 consecutive nights.
The tax rate for this tourist structure is 2 euro per person per night.
In order to organize your check-in at the best, we would like to know the details of your arrival as soon as possible. Please contact me at least one week before.
Please, do not smoke.
Please, do not party: we ask respect for our neighbours.
Please, keep the apartment and its equipment clean and nice, as it were your own.
The apartment has a special security lock: the keys cost 45 euro, if you loose them I'm sorry but you shall pay them back.
Please, respect the city rules of waste separation (we provide different bins) and take out your own litter.
Due to city rules, you can reach the apartment with your car, but you cannot go around in the center with it and you cannot park in the street: we strongly recommend to rent a place in the garage nearby, it's not so expensive (26 euro every 24 hours, in the average. Not included in the apartment rental) and it's safe and confortable. We can reserve a place for you, ask us about.
If you are arriving by bus or train: that's the best, Santa Maria Novella railway station (Florence main station, which is also the terminal of many bus lines, including the shuttles from Florence and PIsa airport), is 2 minutes away walking.
We provide basic ingredients for cooking (salt, oil, sugar ecc.), toilet paper, hand soap, soap for dishwasher and washing machine. It's only a starting kit, though: if something finishes and you need some more, please you can buy it at the mini market 30 metres far from the apartment.
Our family of four, with an 11 years old and a lady of 17 years old stayed at this beautiful apartment in Florence. The pictures shown are an excellent description of the place. The wardrobes are large, the table comfortable, cooking and dishware was available. Francesca was there to great us and showed us all the utilities. When we had questions we had no problem finding her immediately. All in all a very good experience.
Thank you Ilaria for allowing us to make use of your cosy yet well furnished apartment. We had a wonderful time in Florence. With an unexpected change of weather, your immediate response in coming to our aids to turn up the heater has make our stay very comfortable.
The close proximity of the apartment to all the major sites and eateries in Florence have saved us lot of traveling time.
Once again, thank you for sharing your home to us. We will surely call on you if we were to visit Florence again.
With warm regards
This place was wonderful. Francesca helped us over the phone with parking, met us upon arrival, and walked us to the apartment. The place is bigger and nicer than the photos would have you believe. Everything was taken care of, we wanted for nothing and the air conditioning was incredible. This place is a winner.
Everything is very well! Quite nice welcome! Location is quite continence. Perfessional host. But just little bit noisy at night, it is hard to sleep very well. Anyway, it can understanding.

I moved to Florence several years ago for love, and I think this is reflecting in what I do in my work and in life. I'm an art journalist and write about art and cultural tourism. I'm very glad that my job keeps me in touch with what I love most about my country. As a result of a familiar passion, I like Italian - but not only Italian - cusine, and wine, one of the most intense expression of the extraordinary Tuscan landscape. I love to travel, and I believe that there are many ways of being travelers and tourists: the only important think is to live an authentic experience. I hope my hospitality will be part of it.
