From 1 July 2011 the City of Florence by resolution of the City Council No. 230/33 of 06.20.2011, integrated by
resolution No. 21/2012, has established the “'tourist tax”.
The tax is applied to non-residents overnight stays in the city of Florence and for a maximum of 7 consecutive nights.
The tax rate for this tourist structure is 2 euro per person per night.
In order to organize your check-in at the best, we would like to know the details of your arrival as soon as possible. Please contact me at least one week before.
Please, do not smoke.
Please, do not party: we ask respect for our neighbours.
Please, keep the apartment and its equipment clean and nice, as it were your own.
The apartment has a special security lock: the keys cost 45 euro, if you loose them I'm sorry but you shall pay them back.
Please, respect the city rules of waste separation (we provide different bins) and take out your own litter.
Due to city rules, you can reach the apartment with your car, but you cannot go around in the center with it and you cannot park in the street: we strongly recommend to rent a place in the garage nearby, it's not so expensive (26 euro every 24 hours, in the average. Not included in the apartment rental) and it's safe and confortable. We can reserve a place for you, ask us about.
If you are arriving by bus or train: that's the best, Santa Maria Novella railway station (Florence main station, which is also the terminal of many bus lines, including the shuttles from Florence and PIsa airport), is 2 minutes away walking.
We provide basic ingredients for cooking (salt, oil, sugar ecc.), toilet paper, hand soap, soap for dishwasher and washing machine. It's only a starting kit, though: if something finishes and you need some more, please you can buy it at the mini market 30 metres far from the apartment.
From Oct 8 - 10, 2015 the minimum stay is 2 nights.
This was a great location but the smaller second room was very small and hard to open suitcases. The front room was amazing with a lot of room. The hosts were great and friendly and helped us out with luggage and directions.
I would definitely stay again as a couple or family with a double bed in the front room.
Beautiful fittings, kitchen and bathroom.
Wonderful stay in a very well placed apartment.
Everything was perfect.
I will definitely recommend this place.
The time of traveling is perfect in September.
Very sweet and very helpful hosts :)
Thank you Ilaria and Francesca for a perfect stay :)
My mother and I needed a place to stay in a hurry, and Ilaria was there to help us in a pinch! We contacted her via airbnb overnight, and she responded instantly. In a matter of minutes, we were pre-approved and give all the information we needed to end up in the Florence apartment of our dreams. The space was perfect! Beautiful, sunny, plenty of space, clean and located in the center of everything. Her brother-in-law was there to greet us. He even held our luggage for us while the place was being cleaned. (We arrived very early.) The whole family was incredibly accommodating. Of all the places we stayed between Rome, Florence and Venice, this one was the best. I highly recommend Ilaria as a host. Grazie mille, Ilaria!
Very central location within 2 blocks of Duomo, so we never needed to use public transportation-just look for the Cupola! Apartment was very clean with plenty of natural light, and we were able to arrive late (around 9pm) to pick up the keys after a short walk from the train station. We didn't need to use the kitchen, but Andrea showed us where everything was kept and how all of the appliances worked. The only downside is only one of the two bedrooms has air conditioning (although the second bedroom has a fan), so it was difficult to sleep through the night with the summer heat. I would recommend this apartment and stay here again the next time I'm back in Florence.
We enjoyed our four days in this well equipped, clean apartment, which had lots of character. We were made to feel very welcome by Francesca who showed us round in detail. The apartment had a great location over a bustling square, and was in easy reach of the centre and the station. The air conditioning in two of the rooms rooms was very welcome in August!
The stay in Firenze was perfect! Franchesca, Ilaria's sister in law waited for us in our arrival an was very attentious and helpfull. Apartment very well located! Perfect!
Had a lovely stay at this apartment! It was clean, functional, well equipped, had good wifi and above all it was in an excellent location. Host was very helpful and friendly, responded promptly to any requests we had. Would definitely recommend!

About the Host, Ilaria
I moved to Florence several years ago for love, and I think this is reflecting in what I do in my work and in life. I'm an art journalist and write about art and cultural tourism. I'm very glad that my job keeps me in touch with what I love most about my country. As a result of a familiar passion, I like Italian - but not only Italian - cusine, and wine, one of the most intense expression of the extraordinary Tuscan landscape. I love to travel, and I believe that there are many ways of being travelers and tourists: the only important think is to live an authentic experience. I hope my hospitality will be part of it.
