  • The Giglio Suite is an amazing apartment! Perfectly located, just 5 minutes walk from nearly everything you could wish to see! We stayed there for a conference in 5 people, and there was ample space for all of us. The main bedroom is really light and spacious, and the smaller one is perfectly comfy for 2 guests. Ilaria and all her family were really helpful, communicating was really easy and they gave us great suggestions on the surrounding area. I definitely recommend this apartment. Bathroom and kitchen also well equipped, and free wifi that works very well.

  • The appartement is well-situated and cosy. We have been able to do all by walking distance. It's very pleasant to be in Firenze city centre. The only thing is that there are so many stairs to climb with luggage and baby pram. Ilaria's relative has been great. She helped us with our luggage. We found also the garage nearby at 26 € per day. Well, we had a very nice time.

  • The location is wonderful: a few minutes by foot from the majority of sightseeing places of Florence. The apartment is spacious, well equipped and clean. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. It is hard to imagine a better place to stay.

The only slight drawback is the absence of elevator. One has to carry the suitcases to the third floor climbing rather a steep staircase. However, this is nothing in comparison to the positive aspects mentioned above. Just keep in mind you are going to have some physical exercise on arrival.

I would strongly recommend the apartment to anyone seeking a perfect dwelling when visiting Florence.

Quindi direi perfetto.

  • Had a little bit of a problem finding the place, but that was more likely my fault (and the being awake for almost 24 hours) than Ilaria. The apartment is wonderfully located, and very clean and comfortable. The stairs can be formidable, but it helped us burn off all of the pasta we ate during our stay. The second bedroom is much smaller than the main bedroom, but not uncomfortably so. It was certainly big enough for our needs. One other thing to note is both beds are actually just two twin beds that are pushed together to make a double bed. These are just little nitpicks because overall the apartment was great, and Ilaria and her family were very helpful. Would definitely recommend and stay there again!

  • Pros:
Very well-situated in Florence, just a short walk from the main train station and close to the Duomo. All the main sights in Florence can be seen on foot and the apartment is within 20 minutes walk of most places.
Huge main bedroom with space for a bed and sofa with ample room left over.
Well equipped with appliances and a new kitchen with gas stove.
Excellent hosts - they met us at the station on our arrival and promptly fixed the two issues that arose during our stay.
    Cons:
A long climb up several flights of stairs to reach the room.
Main bedroom is not particularly well-insulated against light and sound from the piazza below. It would bother a light sleeper.
For couples, we found the configuration of the main double bed as two single mattresses pushed together somewhat disappointing because it was nice and big but had a tendency to slide apart during the night, leaving a mattress gap. The other bedroom also had a double bed but I don't know if it has one mattress or two.

  • We had a wonderfuld stay in Ilarias apartment:)
Great location, close to everything, clean and exactly as the photos. Andrea was very helpful and we could leave our luggage in the apartment on our last day! Fast WIFI in the apartment.
Ilaria sent us some great restaurant recommendations!
    Definitely recommended:))

  • Great location, exactly as the photos. We had a very enjoyable stay at this spacious apartment from start to end. Andrea (Llaria's brother in law) met us outside the building (even though we were running late by 30 mins) he was kind and generous with his time. Assisted me with my bag up the stairs and spent time showing us everything in the apartment. Everything worked well in the clean and pleasant apartment, good shower & fab washing machine. Rooms were comfortable with good shutters. There was some noise in the front room but being in such a close location it was perfectly understandable. We took up their suggestions for two excellent restaurants one literally at the street opposite the apartment - delicious (can't recall the name) and the yummy ZaZa. There are 82 steps to the apartment but even I ( the least fit one in our family) didn't find it too exhausting because we went sightseeing all day & went back after dinner at night, so it was a welcome extra exercise. WIFI was great throughout our stay! Will gladly recommend and stay again!

  • We had a lovely stay in this perfectly located apartment. We were met by Francesca who was very helpful and friendly. Our family of 4 had a great stay. Lots of room, very clean and well equipped. The front bedroom was a little noisy but we were centrally located and that's a small price to pay. We also got some great restaurant recommendations. Would definitely recommend.

About
I moved to Florence several years ago for love, and I think this is reflecting in what I do in my work and in life. I'm an art journalist and write about art and cultural tourism. I'm very glad that my job keeps me in touch with what I love most about my country. As a result of a familiar passion, I like Italian - but not only Italian - cusine, and wine, one of the most intense expression of the extraordinary Tuscan landscape. I love to travel, and I believe that there are many ways of being travelers and tourists: the only important think is to live an authentic experience. I hope my hospitality will be part of it.
