She was very welcoming and answered all questions upon arrival. She was very quick to respond and reliable
We initially booked here for four nights, and then extended to a fifth. We found Amy, the owner/host to be responsive to our needs. We arrived rather late at night in a crabby mood. Having worked at a campground for many years, I recall that people who arrive late at night are frequently difficult to assuage. Amy did her best to mollify our concerns, mostly due to the fact that we had gotten in late.
Our stay in New Jersey turned out to be far busier than we had intended, thus we did not have a chance to take advantage of the nice location of the cottage, which is indeed on a pretty lake with a lot of things to do in the area. This area is one of my favorite parts of New Jersey, so it is a shame that our personal business took up so much of our time -- we were gone every day from 9am to 10pm.
But we did have a pleasant stay here.
What a weekend! Got to witness a lightning storm over the lake while swinging in the hammock on the beach after a nice bbq dinner. Amy was very responsive and helpful prior to our trip. Neighbors were friendly and made us feel welcome.
We stayed for two nights, and had a fantastic time. The place was even nicer in person, with all the amenities that Amy described. She was a terrific host, and kept checking in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. She was very receptive to our feedback, and made us feel really welcome! Overall, great stay - I would definitely recommend it.
My boyfriend and I really wanted some relaxing lakeside time far from the concrete jungle for his birthday, and found exactly that in Amy's Hopatcong getaway. We swam, grilled, and watched an epic thunderstorm from the porch. We felt like we had complete privacy as no one seemed to be there during the week! It was awesome. Thanks, Amy!
Great place! Just a short walk to the water. Outdoor grill was a huge plus. Host was very responsive and helpful!
Amy rocks. The place is simple, the bed comfy and now the hot water heater works. I loved it, and have been back since. Cool lake. Amy is a very responsive host.
