From 1 July 2011 the City of Florence by resolution of the City Council No. 230/33 of 06.20.2011, integrated by
resolution No. 21/2012, has established the “'tourist tax”.
The tax is applied to non-residents overnight stays in the city of Florence and for a maximum of 7 consecutive nights.
The tax rate for this tourist structure is 2 euro per person per night.
In order to organize your check-in at the best, we would like to know the details of your arrival as soon as possible. Please contact me at least one week before.
Please, do not smoke.
Please, do not party: we ask respect for our neighbours.
Please, keep the apartment and its equipment clean and nice, as it were your own.
The apartment has a special security lock: the keys cost 45 euro, if you loose them I'm sorry but you shall pay them back.
Please, respect the city rules of waste separation (we provide different bins) and take out your own litter.
Due to city rules, you can reach the apartment with your car, but you cannot go around in the center with it and you cannot park in the street: we strongly recommend to rent a place in the garage nearby, it's not so expensive (26 euro every 24 hours, in the average. Not included in the apartment rental) and it's safe and confortable. We can reserve a place for you, ask us about.
If you are arriving by bus or train: that's the best, Santa Maria Novella railway station (Florence main station, which is also the terminal of many bus lines, including the shuttles from Florence and PIsa airport), is 2 minutes away walking.
We provide basic ingredients for cooking (salt, oil, sugar ecc.), toilet paper, hand soap, soap for dishwasher and washing machine. It's only a starting kit, though: if something finishes and you need some more, please you can buy it at the mini market 30 metres far from the apartment.
Location! What a location! The loft is super convenient. Some of us arrived by train (main train station is two minutes walk) and some by car, and the loft was suitable for both. The garage is almost in front of the building, which is very rare in Florence downtown.
Ilaria's brother in law, Andrea, was very welcoming and gave us all the info about the apartment and places to eat, and show us how to use every appliance. The loft is nice, spacious and clean.
We had a great experience with Ilaria and Andrea. Their place is just as nice as it looks in the pictures and is wonderfully located, close to everything. We stayed for a week, and it was great to have the kitchen to cook in. The Mercato is very close by, and the Conad supermarket is just steps away. Both were great. The Duomo is just a short walk away.
Do note that this apt is on the top (4th?) floor, and you will have to climb (and carry luggage) up and down. That was fine for us, but may not work if you have bad knees or a lot of luggage.
The flat is well located! 5 min walk from the train station and 5 from the doumo. The market is just behind and there are many
restaurants and shops in the area.
You can easily access by foot museums, churches and gardens.
The flat is spacious, neat and well equiped. You can easily cook or decide to eat out.
Wonderful wellcoming from Francesca, who, the first day, picked us up in the street as we were lost (my fault). Very confortable, clear and clean loft, with everything you could dream of (coffee included). Important point : its two minutes away from the train station, and at the same time close to the very center of the city (strange, isn't it ?). You can find everything you need around to eat and drink, and we felt very confortable, being two adults and three children.
Bref, the place you want to come back !
Everything was perfect! Clean, nice flat and great location. Check-in and check-out was smooth and communication with the hosts was great. I highly recommend this listing!
The apartment is located very well and it is quite spacious! Sometimes it was a little bit loud during the night, but it was acceptable.
To our regret during the check-in the owner confronted us with an additional tax for the water, gas and electricity consumption. We were a little bit shocked because we have never experieced that with Airbnb. Fortunatly Airbnb client service helped us with that and we didn't have to pay it!
So never ever accept any offside charges. Please contact Airbnb before paying any additional taxes!!!

About the Host, Ilaria
I moved to Florence several years ago for love, and I think this is reflecting in what I do in my work and in life. I'm an art journalist and write about art and cultural tourism. I'm very glad that my job keeps me in touch with what I love most about my country. As a result of a familiar passion, I like Italian - but not only Italian - cusine, and wine, one of the most intense expression of the extraordinary Tuscan landscape. I love to travel, and I believe that there are many ways of being travelers and tourists: the only important think is to live an authentic experience. I hope my hospitality will be part of it.
