For guests that have flights out a bit later in the day, there is a really brilliant option in Hong Kong for travelers. It's called City Check in. Basically, you can check in at the Hong Kong Station (terminal for the Hong Kong Airport Express Train) up to 24 hrs prior to your scheduled departure time. They take your luggage and issue you a boarding pass. Then, you can wander the city until you are ready to board the train to the airport, walk through security, and off you go. Everything is taken care of for you. A lot of my guests do this and love the service. Please ask your flight operator for additional details regarding this option.
I have lived in Hong Kong for over 30 years and really look forward to meeting new guests and sharing some good visiting tips with travelers.

Fantastic traditional Hong Kong neighborhood with lots of history at every street alley and corner. Local restaurants are a treat to experience and public transport is all around to get you to all places of the city.
Sheung Wan MTR is 5 min walk down the hill.
Trams, buses, mini buses, taxis are all just a stone's throw away to get you all throughout Hong Kong.
Once you arrive in Hong Kong, everything is quite simple and all starts with a call from the FREE phones at the airport located in the hall immediately after you pass through baggage customs. There is also a Visitors Center there if you would like to pick up some maps, local travel guides, etc. to read on your way to the apartment. If you need a local SIM card, there is a 7-11 in the middle section of the main arrival hall where they see all types of SIM cards, I usually prefer the PCCW brand as it is the larges local operator.
Yes this place is small but it also means the air conditioning worked really well especially during the middle of the summer. I was cold every time I walked in from the humidity.
I arrived later than expected but Brendan's friend was able to meet me within 25 mins. The room was just big enough for two people and we didn't spend much time in the room anyway. You could squeeze a third person but it would be a tight fit. The bathroom was also small as others have written about but it was clean and water was nice and hot if you needed it. The apt was on Hollywood road which meant there were cafés and restaurants nearby. The MTR was a few blocks away and Brendan had a binder of suggested sights. Overall the place was small but it fit our needs well. The only difficulty I had was finding the place but Brendan's friend waited outside to receive us.
Great location, too small room for 3 people. the apartment is quite centric and located around many bars and restaurants, the soho area were mostly expats hang around. The room was a too small for 3 people but otherwise it was very clean and pleasant. The rooftop was also a nice addition
I have stayed in anther one of Brendan's places before, and found him to be a very helpful and accommodating host. This property, however, was very attractive as it is so centrally located, quite, great views. Close to great restaurants on Hollywood Road, the steps down to Sheung Wan MTR, temple, etc. The place is small, but has everything you might need. I hope to stay there again.
Great location that is a short walk from the Soho escalators and numerous restaurants in the area. The room is clean and has everything you need including a small kitchen. The only thing I would note for those unfamiliar with Hong Kong real estate is that the bathroom is quite small and you shower right beside the water heater and toilet. There was also a bit of a logistical issue with getting the key to the unit despite numerous calls and emails advising the host of our ETA. Overall, there is no substitute to being in the heart of Hong Kong and location makes up for all the little hiccups.
Great place and even more great location
the apt is prety small but good enough for a couple
Breandan is there for you for any question - he was for us anyway
i recomend it
Brendans flat is in the perfect location and i love staying there. Its my third time and each time it seems to get better.
The bathroom is a little small, but this is HK folks so get over it.
While I understand that HK living spaces tend to be small and "simple", this remains a very basic studio with some serious design and maintenance flaws. The bathroom is not simply tiny but more importantly poorly designed. The shower is incredibly narrow (no more than 16 inches/40cm wide), making it hard to use and causing water spills everywhere. The only mirror in the studio is in the shower (so your feet will be wet when you try to use it) . The only sink available is the small kitchen sink which is shared with the bathroom. The studio also needs deep cleaning to address dust and grime on shelves, fans, upholstering. The towels provided smelled like mold. When we arrived there was a single electrical adapter for international plugs..and it didn't work! So in order to charge my phone I spent the first hour of my stay searching the city for electrical adapters. While the communication with Brendan was good before arrival, he did not meet us on the street in front of the building as agreed. After 15 minutes I called him and another few minutes later he sent someone else to meet us. The whole experience felt like this is a family-run business more interested in making a buck than having guests be satisfied with their stay. On the positive side, the location and views are really nice.
Ultimately the stay at this studio was a great disappointment because overall the value was not there. Much better hotels are available in this area for just a few more dollars a night. The strict cancellation policy applied by the host, however, did not make this an option for us.
It's a great small apartment. The location is good. Pretty close to the main road where all the supermarkets and restaurants are. There were a few set of stairs going back up to the apartment from the main road.
We were 3 girls for a touristic weekend in Hong Kong. The location is amazing, just near very good restaurants, bars and Man Mo temple (and 2 MTR stations very close). The flat was very clean with all convenience (towels, showergel, hairdryer). It is small but very ok for a weekend! And Brendan was very nice and arrange our venue for us! The best place to stay in HK ! Enjoy !
Absolutely fantastic location and perfect little nest if you plan to be spending most of your time out of the apartment and exploring!
Very much enjoyed my stay - thank you!
