The house is above a valley with sweeping views over relaxing countryside, overlooks landscaped pool and gardens, deep in 7 acres of organic farmland and olive grove, own spring water, purified, own photovoltaic 15,000 Kwh electric generation, airconditioning, tastefully furnished with antiques, a wonderful getaway from which to explore the wonders of Umbria and Tuscany.

Walls are over 1.4 meters thick at the base. The floors are all in traditional Castel Viscardo brick tile, fired from the same clay that the bricks in ancient Rome were.

Interaction with Guests
We have various activities, including rafting, cooking classes, and even olive picking in November.
Amelia is a little jewel among Umbrian hill towns with a very active Cultural life and beautiful 17th Century Theatre, by the architect who design La Fenice in Venice.
There is a bus service from Orte Station to Amelia 5-6 times a day. Please ask for the schedule. The train from Orte to Rome is between 30-40 minutes depending on class of train. Taxi's can be arranged to airport, but are not cheap.
Other Things to Note
The hous.e-keeper will greet you. The pool is open from June 1st to September 15th
You are required to sign a contract and to submit copies of passports of all people staying. This has to be done ow for Italian rules on "anti-terrorism"
