I'm usually not home, so I'm offering my house in downtown Toronto to share. Its a nice space, open concept and chill. You have full access to the house, and its amenities. The front porch is great for people watching.
The house is 2 min walk from big supermarket bar coffee pharmacy bank etc. 5 min to Cabbage town and Distillery District. 10 min to Eaton Center and Queen street east. You are between the Dundas and Queen street cars which will take you all over downtown.
High speed internet and computer are available "house of Saints" or "Bell701" - the password is my 10-digit phone #.
Since you're living in my home, common sense and courtesy are essential. Aside from tiding up after yourself, I'm particular about cleanliness of the kitchen and bathroom. Still I don't take shoes off, unless they're wet dirty or slushy, so enjoy yourself.
Two of the 3 bedrooms are available for guests. This listing is for the bigger middle room with a hanging wardrobe, and a comfy double bed.
Bartering is available: If you are willing to sweep, mop, wash/dry sheets, and wipe the bathroom and kitchen clean, you'll get back the $50 cleaning fee, which is due upon arrival. Task rebates are also available for long term dwellers.
"Temporary toronto on-street parking" is available for ~$22/week. Please search for the link.
Enjoy your travels and this great (website hidden) My home is rather suited for an intuitive free spirited soul since I'm rarely home. No offence, but I'm refusing travellers who strike me as needy or inappropriate.
Good location to stay in and beautiful downstairs area in the house. Great to have a kitchen especially if you're on a budget. The room and bed however were smaller than they looked in the photos and none of the bedrooms or shared bathroom had a lock. Cleaners walked into my room the morning before we left and woke me up. It was also a bit dirty when we arrived.
Everything was approximately as nice as it was described to be. The house was clean, but not spotless when I arrived, so I felt only compelled to leave it as clean as I found it. As everyone else has mentioned, Kamal was never actually there, but was good about communicating via the AirBnB messages and via text. For $50 a night, this place is absolutely worthwhile, and I'd honestly just as soon the host not be present, so that was kind of a perk for me. The rule Kamal has about washing your own bedding makes sense too, but definitely adds a couple hours to your morning departure time. I think a good compromise would be to wash and put the bedding in the dryer and then be able to leave. The location was also just fine. Close to a few good late night food options and walking distance to some mediocre coffee joints. Overall, I recommend this spot, just be prepared to fend for yourself once you arrive! And to open the front door, you have to turn the key to the left and just push the door! I didn't know that and was sure I would be locked out.
I had a very good experience. Kama was kind and helpful, and everything worked well. The house mates were considerate and I liked the breezy, uncluttered feeling inside the home. I would recommend it without hesitation!
A lovely home located handily to the downtown core...a great DYI place.
House was dirty when I arrived.
Kamal wasnt to help and he send a clenears to clean all.
But is a very bad way to arrive and feel yourself confortable.
Two starts and not one because of the flexibility to check-in/out. The stay was not pleasant. The door had no doorknob so even though it was supposed to be a "private" room, privacy was not completely there. A tenant that wanted to get in, didn't figure out how to unlock the door and was screaming from the outside that he was going to call the police; at 5:30AM IN THE MORNING. Worst of all, after we cleaned our bed sheets and took care of OTHER'S dirty laundry, we were accused of leaving the apartment dirty and did NOT get our $50 dollars cleaning fee back. Will NOT be staying here again!
PS. I never met Kamal, so I can't say anything about the guy.
A lovely location and brilliant company! Thank you!
Communication with Kamal was straightforward, and he checked in via email while I was there to ensure I was happy. The apartment is exactly as advertised: whimsical and comfortable; fantastic shower; excellent kitchen. There was another couple staying while I was there with my dog and we all got along very well; its nice to meet travelers from other countries. I had a great stay and hope to be back.
un tres beau sejour a toronto
au centre ville ,pres de toutes les attraction
What a wonderful place to stay in. The house is pretty clean and quiet. I really like the bathroom there. And the location is very convenience. It next to the Queen street.
