About This Listing
However, this apartment is not just the perfect place where to enjoy the Roman Dolce Vita, it is not just excellently designed, conceived (large and luminous) and furnished.
It is also your doorway to the rest of Italy.
It is situated in one of the most central and yet quiet areas in Rome and at the same time it is so close to Termini (Rome central train station) that you will be able to get there in less than 10 minutes by walking. Rome, Florence, Venice, Naples, Salerno will be close at hand. You will have to do nothing but to reach out. You will also be 30 seconds away from Manzoni metro stop (on line A) which will let you into the very center of Rome (Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, etc.) in a couple of minutes.
How to get here:
- From Fiumicino airport: take the train FL1 that brings to Termini station, and then the metro A line ("Anagnina" direction) until "Manzoni" stop. Get off and continue on foot for 1 minute.
- I'll arrange a car for you
We'd like our guests to be informed that since the 1st of January 2011 Rome City Council is asking for an overnight accommodation tax on tourist service in the city. This fee, 3.50 euros per night (10 nights maximum) per person (with the exception of children up to 10 years and in Rome residents), is not included in the total rate, and has to be paid cash upon arrival.
Every check-in after 20:30 is to be considered a late check-in and it is 35 euros cash to be paid directly to the greeter.
Very happy with the level of support and responsiveness that we received from Emiliano and Maria. Everything about the apartment was just as described; very clean on arrival, and ready for us to enjoy. Very well equipped. The apartment is just a little way out of the 'main' centre, but has the advantages of being on the direct route in from Ciampino; hence making it accessible by public transport if necessary, with a change at Termini onto the Metro - the station is but 100 metres from the apartment front door. Metro takes you to number of key sites and the tram on the road outside was good for reaching other places including direct to Trastavere. Very good supermarket opposite - closed on Sundays; and a nice coffee shop on the corner next to the metro which we found good for breakfasts. Enjoyed our stay and would recommend the apartment and Emiliano and Maria as hosts. Certainly use again - though they seemingly have some other apartments to look at in Rome, should you want a different location base.
Emiliano was very kind and helpful and the apartment was nice and well located. The only downside is that there is no sitting room/lounge so if you are spending a fair amount of time at the apartment and the weather is not really nice enough for the terrace, there is nowhere to sit together except for the dining table.
We've been traveling for 21 days and returned home at 4:00am this morning. Our first stop was with the wonderful and gracious Emiliano in Rome at Colosseo Outstanding Stylish Apt. What a fabulous way to start such a long journey! There are not enough superlatives to be said about the apartment and it's location; it's fantastic!!!
Emiliano? He saw to our every need and anticipated most of them before we realized we needed them. He made a number of arrangements for us, thereby making our lives much easier and was extremely caring and accommodating in the way he did everything in the 5 days that we savored Rome and Emiliano's amiable hospitality. The four of us felt so very fortunate to have enjoyed his favor!
We recently stayed at this apartment for 5 days in Rome, and we didn't want to leave. It's spotless and fully fitted out with EVERYTHING that is required - we were particularly impressed about having the large courtyard available for our 3 year old to run around in. Attention to detail and great design features made our stay really easy. We cooked our own meals in the well-equipped kitchen (thoughtful kitchen items like cooking oil, salt, pepper, sugar, plastic wrap etc are already provided) while we bopped around to our new italian pop cds - so fun! Location wise it obviously has the metro right near the front door, but there is also a tram stop right outside that will take you to the Colloseum if you're feeling lazy (or pregnant like me). A supermarket is located around 300m away on the same street (turn left when leaving the building) and we ate at a lovely restaurant nearby, Trattoria Antica Hostaria da Angelino - arrive before 8pm unless you have a booking. There's multiple shops selling things like pizza slices, chinese takeaway, bread, vegies, vino etc about 50m away.
Highly recommend this apartment for an easy, comfortable and a bit 'glam' stay in Rome.
We stayed at this place for five days and enjoyed it beyond words. We were greeted by Emiliano with fresh fruits and juice while walked us through the he facilities. He was very helpful and answered all our questions before and during our stay very promptly.
Everything is perfect with lots of designer items and special features. The only downside is that the bed lacks a mattress making it kind of hard. I should also warn the next guest that the water pipes are somewhat moody so every shower has got that edge of surprise where you don’t quite know if you’ll be freezing or burned. That aside, I highly recommend this place to everyone that wants a bit of Italian luxury. It is the perfect place to stay for a few days. It’ll feel better than home!
