  • I really liked this place - was just what I expected; studio itself was cozy and had everything we needed, good parking spot (a bit tight if you have a large car), and cool area to spend a couple of nights in. Place in itself was fairly easy to find; just look it up on (website hidden) maps up front to be sure. Never got to meet Erin, but from her texts she seemed like a pleasant lady. The shower was one of those rainshowers which I love. Only thing missing is air conditioning (although it didn't get extremely warm in the evenings anyway).

Didn't see any of the ants an earlier reviewer is talking about, and I felt the area was as quiet as expected (and we we're there on 4th of July...). However I'm a bit afraid that those bed bugs Justin is talking about where still there during our stay... I never have reactions to any sorts of bugs, but my friend actually got several large red bumps all over her body, and this was the first time during our three week trip she got any - but we just thought they were mosquito bites or something like that. I truly hope I haven't brought any bed bugs home, and if I had read Justin's review a lot earlier I would have thrown my entire suitcase in the freezer prior to unpacking it... but now, it's too late. Let's just hope there aren't any in my house.

  • Bathroom was really bad and nats everywhere when you turn the shower on... safe to say bathroom was run down, loud hammers and drills all morning every morning and to top it off, after second night I noticed red bumps all over my feet shoulders and arms from what I have now been informed from my doctor are bed bugs. After arriving back home and ridding of my wardrobe and praying i did not bring home bed bugs and infest my home, I hope that Erin gets her place in better shape because for me, the nasty red bumps all over me and my girlfreinds body (we have pics we sent to our doctors who confirmed them if anyone would like to see) and the insane lack of sleep due to the workers literally right out front, like five steps away, from our door at 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 am was horrifying. I am sorry but just the bed bugs alone drove me insane not to mention the drills and loud hammers at the earliest of hours, and we anticipated a cool young louder party scen which was what we got with the alleyway and the boardwalk right there til around 2-3 am, but to then have the workers at 5 ,6,7,8,9am start in with the drills and hammers and such, we literally got maybe 2 hours of sleep a night. This was the worst airbnb experience I have had. Bed bugs are no joke... :(

  • I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The location was superb. Fun to just roll out onto Venice Beach day or night! Very secure as well. The room rate is reasonable, the bed comfortable and enjoy the perk of fresh Brita filter water in mini fridge. Nice ocean breezes roll through when front door is open...view of the water too. Definitely will come back again....Thanks ...pleasant owner as well..

  • The studio was exactly what we expected in terms of location - just off the main beach boardwalk and about a 10 minute walk to Abbot Kinney with lots of dining options. The studio itself is a bit dated and a bit noisy in the evening and morning. It feels more like a motel than a residence, but works great if you just need a place to sleep and get ready.

  • The place is right near the boardwalk which is wonderful and the studio was just what we needed. Loved the studio and loved Venice!! Will be coming back for sure.

  • We had a great time in Venice Beach. Erins studio was exactly what we wanted - small, cosy, close to the beach. We will absolutely recomend your place to friends coming to L A.

  • Our stay at the Venice Beach studio was absolutely perfect! The location couldn't be better for two people who wanted to spend their time in LA on the beach and doing all things on the water! Erin was a great hostess... leaving thorough notes, easy access options, and promised availability (which we didn't even require). To top it off, the studio has the most amazing character that places it among the best places in the Venice beach area. If you're tired of boring, cookie-cutter hotel stays, this is your place! We will definitely stay here everytime we visit our west coast friends!

  • Great place. Was super convenient and in a great location for walking around Venice. Right next to the beach. Erin made the arrival and departure super easy and checked in throughout our stay.

    Seguramente regresare pronto!

  • This is a dream place! Small but literally on the beach. We had a few stay in Venice before but this one was the best. And Erin is the coolest host with great tips for beginners. Highly recommended!

About
Hi everyone! Nice to meet you! Lots of information but please read everything first before booking. : -Newly REMODELED October 1st, 2013. BRAND NEW mattress and bed frame! . Our calendar is always updated. *** NEW PROPERTY!!! Have a (email hidden)nal loft II. It's pretty cool! Right next door to the other loft! http://www.airbnb.com/rooms/189140 **** I am a true local, born and raised. Professional Chef and Airbnb Host. I love the arts, outdoors, animals, and big into recycling. A Private gourmet Chef is available for additional fees. Food prep , cooking meals, stocking the refrigerator before arrival and during stay , food drop offs. Requests must be made 48 hours in advance . *please contact me for menu samples, questions and rates. We spent many years in our Venice home, but now my brother Jason has taken over the main house with his roommate Mario. I still operate the studio for AirBnB from my new location. !This house was built in the late 1930's and located on the boardwalk with a beach view . This has been a family home for over 40 yrs. This has a really neat look and charm to it. We decided to make this private studio available to our fellow Airbnb-ers because it is such a unique, fun little space. Venice is a great place to just be yourself and relax or get crazy ;)! ( Some inquiries make me feel I have to state : ****This is our home we hope you will respect that and we welcome kind, honest, fellow AirBnB family members to stay here in our studio. If you are looking for a hotel feel, you won't find one here! Just pure privacy , comfort and necessities provided. ****No, There is no additional security or insurance for your belongings or yourself ...... simply because we hope there's a mutual trust in our AirBnB community and consider you family guest(s) -that we have not had the pleasure of meeting yet. AND yes, of course we as the home owners and host also have keys to the studio if you lock yourself out or for any emergencies.) **It is just off the board walk and above an alley both ..(visible from studio). Venice IS afterall, # 1 mosted visited spot in Southern California compared to Disneyland. Located right in the center of it all. **Sometimes after closing time at local bars ...there is an individual  or group of happy or angry people walking home. Or a skateboard and bikes. This is VENICE and not a quiet deserted island or a resort. Early Mornings and after sundown is generally quite. I remind everyone it is Venice , you must know we are  known for an eclectic neighborhood sounds, people, everything :). EVENTS IN TOWN: * Venice Art Crawl : Every third Thursday ..walking , bicycling ,  eating at gourmet food trucks, restaurants , music ,  drinking, great stores , art & crafts and fun. We sometimes participate (in a civilized manner ) by holding an art exhibit for the "art crawl" in our parking lot. 7:00pm- 10:30pm (yes you will still always have your parking spot). We also have a rotating urban muralist on our property wall approx every 6 months. * Every FIRST Friday  : local Venice Abbot Kinney Blvd art walk.2Blocks away. More  walking , bicycling ,  eating at gourmet , restaurants, gourmet food trucks  drinking , tons of fun! FREE Parking: in addition to what is previously stated on my airbnb site ...there is enough room for an suv. Anyone who has an SUV can fit if you know how to drive one. Hee hee;). With that being said, there is 1 (city  style ) uncovered parking spot right up front. - a tight parking space. Passenger might need to get out of vehicle first. Sorry No pets allowed in studio rental. I hope that helps. the rest  is straight forward and located on house rules, house manual and amenities. Thank you for your inquiry !  Mrs Erin
