I would highly recommend this lovely apartment. Allesandro wasso helpful and very organised, our stay went without any problems. The location is awesome- down the road from the Apollo theatre, able to walk to Big Ben and Westminster Abby easily. The unit itself was very clean and just what you need. We would definitely stay here again.
Alessandro's place was great, perfectly placed. It was extremely convenient, easy to get to either Victoria or Pimlico and there's a decent array of restaurants and shops near by. The apartment itself was very clean and well appointed, very quiet with a lovely balcony so all in all a very it was a pleasant and comfortable stay. Alessandro was also extremely helpful and everything was as he explained, great!
we passed a very goods weekend at studio 9. alessandro and carole are very kind and help us so much. this studio is just near the victoria station which is easy to go to every important place of london . recommande .
The directions provided to the flat were perfect, it was very easy to get in, which was helpful because we had battled the massive tube strike all day and were tired. There was a bottle of wine upon arrival, and the flat was tidy. The location was amazing. We booked here specifically for the balcony, which was very quiet and quaint. We ate dinner out here both nights and really it was the highlight of our stay.
As other reviewers have stated, the stairs were more like a ladder, which was fine for us. The flat was missing a corkscrew and paper towels, which I e-mailed to Alessandro and his housekeeper brought us some the very next morning. This level of attention was very much appreciated and really shows how the host is willing to go above and beyond.
Of note, there were no candles as advertised, which we were looking forward to as we were celebrating our anniversary. And though the "free mini bar" was advertised and we were very much looking forward to it, there was only one of everything for us to share: one beer, one orange juice, etc and I wish there had been at least one per person (or even one per person per day). The "free light breakfast" was cereal and milk, which again we very much appreciated, but we didn't have much choice as it was basically special K or cocoa pebbles. Basically if you're booking this flat for these amenities, don't go in with too high of expectations.
Leonardo y Angeles.
We had a great time staying at Alessandro's flat. Alessandro was very clear and quick in his communications, which we appreciated and made the check in/out very easy. The location was perfect in our perspective, a very easy walk/Tube ride away from most interesting London neighbourhoods and sights. Alessandro's neighbour was quiet but offered many pubs, grocery and restaurant options just outside his door.
Other reviews mentioned the steep stairs and smallness of the flat, both are correct. The stairs from the first to the second floor are very, very steep, more like a ladder. This is something to keep in mind when booking, although I think the 2nd floor may be accessible from the normal outside hallway, so that is another option to access the second floor. The flat is very small but offers everything one needs while exploring the city, although my normal sized husband found the shower a bit claustrophobic. The flat was very clean - we give it a 5/5 for cleanliness.
Special bonus points, we emailed Alessandro requesting a floor fan, which was delivered by the time we got home. Great place and great host.
Alessandro e-mailed us all the necessary details about the house before we arrived, so we had no problem getting there. He left a map and a bottle of wine on the kitchen table, that was very welcoming. The neighbourhood is absolutely lovely, nice and quiet, and close to Victoria Station (where you can catch the train from and to Gatwick Airport and the tube) and a fifteen minutes walk to Buckingham Palace.
The house itself is not very big, but big enough for two (a couple). Do mind your step when you go up and down the stairs inside the apartment, they are very steep.
We would definitely recommend this apartment to other people.
