The house has an open concept design, with direct access to the yard from the main bedroom and the living room. The house was completely renovated three years ago, and has a new kitchen and a beautiful updated bathroom with a large tub. The house is situated in a authentic rustic Portuguese village.

  • As my first time using Airbnb the accommodation and overall experience was way over me and my girlfriend expectations.

Communication with Joana was always easy, to the point with quick replies. Moreover, she provided us with lot of information what we could do and should see in the region. Unfortunately she could not greet us but her mother gave us a warm welcome instead. Waiting for us in the house was basket full of fruits, bread and water. Which was great after been travelling the whole day.

The house itself and the surroundings were just as described. The house is modern, well equipped and last but not least gorgeous. The view over the countryside from the front patio was marvellous and the neighbourhood is rustic and really peaceful.

Bottom line is, if I will visit the Silver Coast region ever again, I will definitely stay in Joana's House.

  • Our stay was fantastic, to say the least! The awesome place, the scenic views, the attitude of hosts — all of that made our stay in Portugal perfect.

The internet connection speed in the house is slow like one of those caracóis though, but the country living has got more advantages I guess. :)

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!! The house had everything we needed (and more!) and Joana and her family were outstanding hosts. They went out of their way to make sure we were properly accommodated and felt at home. The view from the front of this house is magnificent and the village is really quaint. We enjoyed ourselves so much we are considering a repeat trip next year! We highly recommend you consider staying here.

  • That's really awesome place and people. We have no words to say how we like it. We fell in love with this house. Wonderful view, very nice modern design, fully equiped comfortable house, made with warm and great love, attentive welcomeness and support of everything we needed. Joana and her family is so warm and kind. We got all for our little girl: a cot, bedding, chair, dishes. She likes this place so much :)
Location is really well. If you have a car, it's just 30 minutes to the beach, 15 mminutes to Obidos and supermarket, freshly baked bread and small shop in nearest village, fresh market in Caldas da Ranha. The place is very calm and quiet, ideal to enjoy nature. Highly reccommend! We miss you so Areirinha!

We are a multicultural family with a cute baby girl. She is 25% German perfection, 25% Icelandic Viking , 50% Latino temper and a lot of fun! Definitely a recipe worth keeping.. ;) We live in Iceland and have not been spending a lot of time in Portugal these days because of the little one, but we promise you that if we are not there you will be very well taken care of by my mother, she lives just around the corner and loves meeting new people just as much as we do. We love traveling and do it as much as we can, amongst my favorite trips I would mention Sailing in Turkey and a Kayak Expedition in Greenland. Besides a lot of other things, I love cooking and keeping the house cozy and nice, that combined with some other characteristics got me the nick name of "Bree Van de Kamp" amongst friends.. It could be worst, right? Omar is the handy man in the family. Under his supervision and by following his rigorous quality standards when it comes to construction we have managed together as a team to successfully renovate this cute Portuguese house under Icelandic standards (Something unique, really! ;) ) We have put a lot of love into this place and we hope you will enjoy staying there as much as we do!
