  • Perfectly located and within walking distance of most of the major attractions downtown. Excellent communication with host prior to arrival, met with an associate of Ho's as he was not in town -- all questions were answered and our substitute host was very pleasant. Stay was comfortable. I enjoyed not having that "sterile" hotel experience. If you are looking for a property that can accommodate 3-5 persons (1 shared bed (for 2 persons) and 3 individual sleeping spaces) comfortably with a great location consider this property. There were some minor repairs that should be addressed, but they should not detract you from staying here. If you are a coffee drinker or need condiments, make sure you plan for these things in advance of arriving as they are not supplied. Coffee maker is there with filters, but creamer, sugar, coffee need to be supplied by you. Butter and jams are not provided either but there is a toaster. Remember, this is not a hotel and these things should not necessarily be provided. This is just a notice to potential clients to plan for these things if you don't want to make the very short walk in the morning to the bakery for coffee, etc. Thank you for making this property available.

  • Ho's apartment is in a great location! The apartment was very clean and easy to access. Ho was very accommodating even though she was out of town.

  • This apartment was a wonderful home base in the downtown area for our visit to Vancouver with two small children. We were within walking distance to transit, stores, restaurants, Granville Island, Stanley Park etc. The apartment was clean and was stocked with everything we needed. Ho was prompt in replying to messages and in meeting us to give us the keys. The only thing to be aware of is that the apartment overlooks the street which can be quite noisy at night. We would definitely stay here again!

  • We really enjoyed out visit to Vancouver, and Ho's apartment was just about perfect for our trip. Location was great; walked to the beach our first and last night in town to watch the sunset. Many good restaurants, bakeries, coffee shops, stores within 2-3 blocks. Walked downtown, VGA, gastown. Short drive to everywhere else. Ho was very gracious and spent time orienting us and giving us many good ideas for our visit. The apartment was clean and had all the amenities we needed. Kitchen is a little sparse, but easily stocked enough for simple meals and coffee. Building security was fantastic. Would easily recommend this apartment.

  • The apartment was excellently placed - right in the middle of Vancouver and in access of everything. The view for breakfast allowed to see what was happening around the apartment. Very comfortable beds and a well appointed kitchen. Great wifi made it easy to contact friends.

  • I never met Ho, but he and his brother were very accommodating for us while we were there and was responsive whenever I did contact him. His apartment was in a great area of town, very central to everything there is to do and see in downtown Vancouver. The apartment is in an older building, which wasn't an issue for us but it does not have air conditioning. We thought it would be ok but it got hot at times if you did not leave the windows open (we were there in May), which left a bit of street noise while sleeping, but that is not anyone's fault, just something to consider. What I did like, although Vancouver is very safe, is the building security, with key fobs needed to get into the building/activate the elevator to your floor/etc, that always makes me feel at ease. If I return I would stay here again.

  • This was our first air bnb experience and it was wonderful! Ho was a great host, full of information. We went to Vancouver on a bit of a whim and had no plans. Ho gave us lots of great ideas. The apartment itself was very conveniently located, we were even able to hop on a shuttle for a whale watching tour right across the street! We parked our car and didn't touch it again until we left. We were able to walk/use public transportation to get every where! Would definitely recommend a trip to Vancouver and using oh as a host!

  • Ho was an extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful host. The apartment was in an excellent location within walking distance of all the Downtown places you would want to visit. It also has great views.
The apartment was clean and well laid out and it was great to have two bath/showers with four/five adults staying. The kitchen is fine unless you are planning to cook meals for four every night.
We were very happy with the apartment and our host and would certainly stay again.

  • Ho was a great host and the apartment is terrific. From the moment we met him, he was friendly and personable. He showed us the apartment, gave us a map and pointed out many shops and services in the immediate area. And he was available for anything we needed during our stay. The apartment is well appointed with a fireplace, excellent showers and hot water, and comfortable beds. The views from the apartment and the floor to ceiling glass walls are superb, and so is the location, being equidistant from most areas downtown - the West End, Yaletown, Robson Street and only a few blocks from the Vancouver Art Gallery, and many other sights. You will be pleased staying at this apartment and dealing with Ho. We would be pleased to stay at his place again upon our return to Vancouver.

  • PROS: Location is excellent. Host is very prompt with responses, reliable, and friendly. He answered our questions, gave us a thorough tour of the apartment, and even spent time telling us where to go, what to eat, see and do (and diagraming it all on a map!). He really was very nice. Apartment is exactly as advertised, clean, and has plenty of windows (like, floor to ceiling in every room!) for light and city viewing. Have I mentioned that the location is excellent?
CONS: This apartment is solely for renting -- nobody lives there permanently -- so it doesn't have the amenties/comforts you'd find (email hidden)d-in home. Furnishings are sparse; kitchen has extremely limited sliverware, pots, pans, etc. There aren't any washcloths, so bring your own if you use them. And make sure to read the house rules so you know what to expect with extra charges.
OVERALL: The location is so good; everything else is secondary. If you are used to staying at the Marriott, this probably isn't the spot for you. If you are looking for a great location and a reliable/clean/adequate accommodation at a good price, you'll be satisfied.
