There too many great things to say about Hillary and this place to fit them here, so I'll say the personal highlights. Fresh fruit, fresh air, and a friendly and accessible neighborhood Hillary went out of her way to accommodate a last minute request. She's a great host. I'll be back!
Loved this house! Super quaint and cute. It was perfect for a quick trip for my girlfriends birthday. The location was very close to downtown and North Park where we like to eat/drink/shop. Hillary provided a book full of local recommendations to visit which we used every day to discover new places. The kitchen had all the everyday items we needed to make breakfast and snacks and luckily had a wine opener and glasses for the wine we brought.
We did enjoy street parking in front of the house most nights but during the day on Saturday, we did have trouble finding a spot.
The house is older and it does show. Because of this, the house doesn't *feel* super clean, as the nature of older homes goes. This didn't bother us, but could bother others. There was also a very energetic dog and children next door that made it a little difficult to sleep in. Again, not the biggest deal for us, but could be a problem to others.
Hillary was a very welcoming host and while we didn't meet, she did check in with us to ensure a pleasant stay. 5 stars!
It was great place to stay for Comic Con. We love it! It's simple but you have everything you need and more! And big thanks for fruit trees! We loved fresh juice every morning!
My husband and I stayed here for 10 days while relocating to San Diego. The location was great for getting around the city quickly - we drove everywhere, but saw the trolley and bus stations nearby. Hillary was a communicative and thoughtful host remotely, and was very accommodating when I requested an adjustment to the number of days we stayed. it was great to have a private space with a full kitchen during our stay.
LOVED the house and the neighborhood. One of the cutest places we've ever stayed at - an exquisitely decorated and homey locale. Although Hillary and I never met in person, she was an outstanding remote host, making sure we had everything we needed! If you stay here, be sure to check out the pupusas and fish tacos just walking distance from the house - crazy delicious.
The host canceled this reservation 35 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Thank you so much for letting us stay in your home! The house was perfect for our week in San Diego, we didn't have to drive more than 20 minutes to get to wherever we wanted to go. The location was absolutely perfect! We were able to pick oranges from the back yard and make some pretty tasty OJ! The kitchen was well stocked with cookware and utensils, so we were able to easily cook meals when we didn't feel like going out to eat. Hillary was an excellent host! She was quick to respond to texts whenever we had a question and the "house manual" she put together was full of suggestions for food and fun activities to do around the city. We felt so comfortable in the house and venturing out into the city because of her. Hilary made us feel welcome and right at home, again, thank you so much! We can't wait to visit again!
